This place is called Kirana Hills (a place near Sargodha, Pakistan). A lot of blasting goes on in this area to gather stones for the construction. Due to heavy blasting the hills have transformed into some really interesting shapes and due to some phenomenon (unknown to me) water level has also risen. There used to be no water here previously.

We visited Mirror Lake while we were camping around in Utah recently. It was a beautiful small lake. There were lots of people fishing the shores and several nonmotorized boats in the still water. We hiked around the lake as far as we could. The lake path is not completed so we had to double back due to the construction workers and equipment.

Mirror Lake is actually an impoundment of Dell Creek. A dam to provide a head of water for a flour mill was first installed in 1860, creating Mirror Lake. The really beautiful thing about this reservoir is that it sits in a narrow canyon. The canyon is believed to have been formed when the proglacial lake in the Dell Creek basin (connected to glacial Lake Wisconsin) emptied catastrophically. A place of great beauty with scenic sandstone "dells" that are covered with White and Red Pines. The high sides of the canyon keep the wind from disturbing the surface of the lake most of the time, so the name "Mirror Lake" is really justified.
The structure in the distance behind the fallen tree is the famous Ishnala supper club. A destination for special family occasions for over 60 years. Some of the pines actually are growing through through the building itself. Have a great Sunday.
Mirror Lake is formed by a lovely Ozark stream which was dammed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The lake itself is very smooth and green, and it reflects the surrounding trees. The misty point on the water denotes the entrance of the stream. The water ultimately pours over a man-made waterfall and the stream continues on. Nearby is the remains of an old two-story mill which was used for grinding grain. The lake, falls, and mill are located in northern Arkansas, USA, near the small town of Fifty-Six, AR.

Yew Tree Tarn is a small lake in the English Lake District situated in between the towns of Ambleside and Coniston. The tarn was formed when the local landowner dammed the Yewdale Beck in the 1930s and stocked the lake with trout. Currently, fishing for brown and rainbow trout is controlled and managed by the Coniston and Torver Angling Association. A usable footpath runs around the periphery of the tarn not bordered by the main road.
