Some shots of this small moth on Sage and Thyme.
The mint moth (Pyrausta aurata) is a small moth from the family Crambidae. In the UK, it has two broods; in May/June, and July/August. It flies both at day and at night.
The purplish-brown wings have a span from 10 to 15 millimetres, and a single golden yellow spot on each overwing and underwing. The moth is very similar to the related Pyrausta purpuralis, a slightly larger moth with a larger number of yellow spots.
As the name suggests, the mint moth often uses mint as a food plant, though it can also be found on other species such as marjoram. In north-west Europe it can be seen from April until the end of September and is capable of having two generations in each season.

Meus dedos ficaram amarelados demais, mas só o Photoshop pra acertar a cor. Nas fotos, ele acaba saindo um verde azulado, o que ele não é.
O MCA não é um verde claro amarelado como o Jade da Big, ele é um verde claro bem frio, mas sem ser azul. Ele é bem pastel com uma certa vontade de ser neon, mas só fica na vontade. É um pouco mais claro do que aparece na foto, na verdade.
Foi bem chatinho de passar, mas consegui fazer certinho com duas camadas (uma fina e uma segunda mais generosa). Ainda foi chato de limpar. Saí de casa pouco depois de tirar a foto e ainda estava com restinhos de esmalte no dedo *vergonha*

<333 :D It's so strange, now when I play with Adelaide she feels sooo big and heavy! I thought she was small before! But I love my little doll family, I don't know if I'll ever get another doll of the same size. I'll be buying minifee chloe soon, and I'd like a pullip...hehe a family of much variety!
I found this PERFECT tulle for Mint, so I made her a tutu! I need to fix a few things though, and make her little bloomers or something for underneath. :) The shirt was also made by me.
Mint: I just LOVE mint! And my tutu feels so ballerina-ishy! Mum do you think maybe I could be a ballerina when I grow up to be a minifee?
Me: Aw sweetie you are the perfect ballerina now! :)

The Mint Julep
I imagine to me a Mint Julep instantly evokes visions of Plantation Homes of old during the swelter of Summer, maybe a table underneath Spanish Moss-draped Live Oaks, and a glistening silver cup, beaded with sweat and garnished with an emerald sprig of mint. Ah, what could be more refreshing than that.
The Mint Julep Recipe
6 Fresh Mint Leaves
1 Tbsp Simple Syrup (See Note *)
2 oz. Bourbon (I like Maker's Mark)
Crushed Ice (See Note **)
Wooden Spoon
Rocks Glass (use a silver cup if you have one!)
Combine the mint and simple syrup in the bottom of the glass. Using the handle end of the spoon, smash the leaves into the simple syrup (muddle). Add the Bourbon, then the top with lots of crushed ice, stir, trying to keep the mint leaves on the bottom of the glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint and serve.
*Note - Simple Syrup is equal parts (by volume) water and sugar, cooked just until the sugar disolves. I make a 1 Cup batch and keep it in a squeeze bottle in the refrigerator.
**Note - It's important to use Crushed Ice, it keeps the mint on the bottom of the glass while you're sipping.

Our Chocolate Mint plant - luckily in a single pot and not mixed with any other plants or mints - started showing these orange spots all over it including the leaves. A little internet research shows it to be rust. Comes from the soil, which you're supposed to burn, and is lethal to the plant. Lame.
