---it's real name is not 'Chocolate Mint' fly, but it sure looks like one... :)
I believe it's a type of Soldier fly, but I'm not sure which one.
If anyone has any input on ID, it would be appreciated.
It's on a Sweet Almond tree.

でもこの一枚は奇跡的に残り、お蔵入りのところ引っ張りあげられました。
Holgaのような、あのドキドキ感がたまらなく面白かったです。
Taken while I held the cam just an inch above the ground without looking into the viewfinder having been influenced by my Flickr friend tetsu san. I nearly erased it but the bokeh here is not too bad, so here it is. :D

I had a session with some flowers, trying to get impressionist images, with the added difficulty of expressing emotions. I have found it very difficult to equate emotions with images - not sure why, because it sounds so obvious! This image seems to describe Peace to me - but what is the emotion? And come to that, what are the emotions? I googled 'Emotions' and got great long lists that didn't really help. The potential candidates are: Shyness, Kindness, Love, Devotion.... 'Kindness' I think.... but is that really an emotion?

Kidding aside, I love to see the baby lambs skipping through the fields in the Spring.
Over Easter my family and I headed off for the weekend. We stopped at Castle Crom in County Fermanagh on the way, for a picnic and admired the countryside and wildlife :) :) :)
Lately we've had an awful lot of rain, so getting out with the camera is proving a challenge... Also, I'm very busy at home and not getting the same time to comment or check out your work.
But as always, I'm very grateful that you've taken the time to stop by and view my photos and leave such kind and generous comments :)

The past month I have only had my computer once, as we have been leaving it in Anchorage with friends. That being said, I have been using my in camera wifi to transfer photos over to to my phone so I can share something. I have been really disappointed in the quality and colors I have been getting though. So it is nice to finally sit at Middle Way Cafe (Definitely been here to much. It's our favorite place with great food and great coffee) and edit some photos on a screen bigger then my phone.
This photo is from Mint Hut, which was our first of three huts on our five day backpacking trip, the Bomber Traverse. Almost felt like we were in Switzerland up here.

White reflector was on the left side, very close to the model.
Our Mint Julep rose is a hybrid tea rose that has stunning fragrant golden-yellow blooms tipped with shades of usually lime-green. Not quite sure why this particular bloom is tipped with pink and not green. It's still gorgeous and smells beautiful.
I think this is a 'Mint Moth' (Pyrausta aurata) but as ever let me know if I've got that wrong. According to the Butterfly Conservation website they are often found near mint or thyme. This one likes oregano. :)

This guy here had a length of around 7 to 8mm (0,3 in).
The last year of opperation for this beautiful garden. Chilliwack, BC Canada.
My mother, wife and I went for a drive to Minter Gardens, located near Vancouver, BC. An enjoyable time was had by all.

Saw this beauty at a local car show today. I was unable to ask owner the year before he left. I was thinking a 1946 -1950??? Somebody help me identify this great ride... none the less this one goes straight into my dream garage....
