Mint Chip is my favorite flavor of ice cream and in my humble opinion Breyer's makes the best. Makes me smile!
And now for something completely different...
This is a shot looking up inside the 220 foot tall High Point monument - built on the highest point in the state of New Jersey.
My boys and I went there earlier in the week, climbed these stairs to the top, and were rewarded with a beautiful view of the Pocono Mountains toward the west, the Catskill Mountains to the north and the Wallkill River Valley in the southeast.
As I processed this shot, trying for something a bit fun and different, I worked my way to the tones shown here. Made me think of a certain flavor of ice cream...
Have a great weekend everyone!

amazingly it used to be purple -- but that faded to a light blue - which became green due to the bleached yellow
on a lavender leaf in the back garden (next to the mint plant which it feeds from).
Focus stack, 7 images.
A Surprisingly fast moving caterpillar, so I only managed a couple of shots before it disappeared into the Sage bush, So I have added a head shot as an inset for ID purposes.
Mint Sauce - a classic of British cousine is traditionally served with lamb to, in my opinion, disguise the taste of meat. It's made of chopped mint and vinegar and here is mine dripping off the tea spoon with a sprig of mint from my garden. For Macro Mondays group - Condiment.
My minifee Woosoo Mint.
I don't think I have ever shared her here on Flickr but she is my little witch girl :D
Wild horse‑mint—our Oklahoma bee balm feels like summer’s quiet little firework. In the Cross Timbers it rises in soft tiers, lavender bracts stacked, each one buzzing with life. The bumblebees get there first, shouldering their way into the blooms with that determined hum, and the butterflies drift in behind them, taking their time.
I love how this plant claims its space in the Cross Timbers without shouting. The color is gentle, the scent is herbal and clean, and yet it pulls in half the prairie. Stand near a patch for more than a minute, and you’ll see what I mean.
Our beautiful world, pass it on.
Wild Mint, one of the Caklcutt Boats hire fellet, is seen along the Grand Union canal at Braunston, Northamptonshire, and it is just exiting Lock No. (Nelson Lock.)
