Thankfully we still have some flowers blooming at this time of year, this little mint moth was out enjoying todays sunshine in the garden. I do hope you are all well. ;0)

Glad to be back on flickr, it has been such a busy time working and all kind of other things, that I couldn't make any decent picture, but here's some pink and green again :)

Mint Chip is my favorite flavor of ice cream and in my humble opinion Breyer's makes the best. Makes me smile!

And now for something completely different...

This is a shot looking up inside the 220 foot tall High Point monument - built on the highest point in the state of New Jersey.

My boys and I went there earlier in the week, climbed these stairs to the top, and were rewarded with a beautiful view of the Pocono Mountains toward the west, the Catskill Mountains to the north and the Wallkill River Valley in the southeast.

As I processed this shot, trying for something a bit fun and different, I worked my way to the tones shown here. Made me think of a certain flavor of ice cream...

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mint Sauce - a classic of British cousine is traditionally served with lamb to, in my opinion, disguise the taste of meat. It's made of chopped mint and vinegar and here is mine dripping off the tea spoon with a sprig of mint from my garden. For Macro Mondays group - Condiment.

This has a lovely aroma and is the only mint I know that is more aromatic cold than warm - a sprig in a glass of cold water is lovely and refreshing in summer but it does not make good tea.

My minifee Woosoo Mint.

I don't think I have ever shared her here on Flickr but she is my little witch girl :D

Culverthorpe ...Water Mint

The last year of operation for this beautiful garden. Chilliwack, BC Canada.

Wild horse‑mint—our Oklahoma bee balm feels like summer’s quiet little firework. In the Cross Timbers it rises in soft tiers, lavender bracts stacked, each one buzzing with life. The bumblebees get there first, shouldering their way into the blooms with that determined hum, and the butterflies drift in behind them, taking their time.

I love how this plant claims its space in the Cross Timbers without shouting. The color is gentle, the scent is herbal and clean, and yet it pulls in half the prairie. Stand near a patch for more than a minute, and you’ll see what I mean.

Our beautiful world, pass it on.

lamb steaks (seasoned only with salt) grilled 5 minutes on high to sear, 5 minutes on low to finish. Topped with a hot peach and spicy curry sauce with fresh mint. Served with chopped spinach and brined boiled potatoes with drawn butter and chives.

With mint from the freeway garden.

Brought out one of the Peroni glasses for this.

Pretty tasty.

The Mint, Rye, East Sussex

Wander through the medieval buildings of Mint Street in Rye, East Sussex, admiring the timbered architecture of houses, inns, and pubs. This charming destination is a photographer's dream, with picturesque streets and historic buildings waiting to be captured.
