Denver Mint at W. Colfax Avenue and Delaware Street in Denver, Colorado. Following description from the Colorado Historical Society Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation's website: The Denver Mint was officially established in 1895, and the original two-story Second Renaissance Revival style granite building was completed in 1904. Construction began in 1897 under the supervision of James Knox Taylor, and coinage operations commenced in 1906. Ranking as one of Denver’s most popular tourist attractions, over the years, the Treasury Department constructed numerous additions to accommodate increases in production and visitation.
I found this PERFECT tulle for Mint, so I made her a tutu! I need to fix a few things though, and make her little bloomers or something for underneath. :) The shirt was also made by me.

Its Derby day. Mint Juleps are required. This is one of many batches of mint syrup. The mint syrup is 1 cup of sugar dissolved into 1 cup of water and boiled for 5 minutes. After boiling you put a bunch of mint in the syrup and cool it in the refrigerator.
Recipe:
3 parts Bourbon
1 part mint syrup
1 cup crushed ice
Asian centipedes are known for their bright, translucent, pearly colors and extremely potent venom. There are few better examples than this species. The temperament of this specimen is incredibly violent, unlike most centipedes which are fairly calm despite all of the assumptions made about them.
Issued by Danbury Mint in 2008. It is 1:24 scale.
The model is finished in weathered Sea-Surf Blue and features genuine wood panels & trim.
