Visitors joined Fr. Joe Mitchell of the Passionist Earth and Spirit Center for a basic introduction to the theory and practice of mindfulness meditation on Saturday, September 8 in Broad Run Park. The session was part of the free, monthly Parklands Explorer program encouraging wellness for both body and mind. After meditation, participants went on a hike with a Parklands Interpretive Ranger to explore "Why Plants Make the Place".
