The millennial population (ages 21 to 38) is constantly listening to music through their headphones and attending live concerts. Music is very much a part of their lives and it follows them through every step of their day. Data has been collected about their preferred musical genre tastes through online surveys and computer algorithms. The algorithms track the popularity of genres on music listening platforms like Spotify and Pandora. Drawing from various resources of data, these are the top 5 most popular music genres among millennial’s.
1. Rap:
Coming in at #1 is the rap genre. From recent millennial icons like Cardi B to old school rappers like Ice Cube, this rapid word rhyming art form has become a musical phenomenon. Rap songs top the charts more often than any other music style. Their catchy lyrics and repetitive beats easily stick in millennials’ minds. Plus, they make great songs for the club where bumping and grinding are popular dance styles.
2. Pop:
“Pop” is short for popular and got it’s start in the UK and America in the 1950s with bands like The Beatles. Pop music still hasn’t lost it’s steam and remains a mainstream music genre. Selena Gomez, ZAYN, Rita Ora, and Bebe Rexha, are some of the superstars of pop among millennials. Pop is a hard genre to define because it encompasses a variety of music styles. From urban dance to rock pop and even Latin music influence, the pop genre is most often upbeat and easy to dance to.
3. Pop Rap:
Combining elements of rap and pop, it is pretty obvious how it got the name “pop rap.” Music artists like Rihanna, Drake, Lupe Fiasco, and Kanye West can be categorized as pop rap singers. Their singing styles and rhyming lyrics are heavily drawing from rap culture while the music itself usually contains pop melodies and has a general upbeat feeling. Pop rap first got it’s start in the 1990’s with artists like LL Cool J and Beastie Boys who were taking an underground genre of music at the time (rap) and merging it with pop music in order to gain popularity.
4. Hip Hop:
There have been many debates about the difference between hip hop and rap, but it’s clear there must be some distinction. Hip hop artist, KRS-One has especially strong feelings about the two genres claiming that, “rap is something that is done and hip hop is something that is lived.” The hip hop genre is more associated with bands who were popular in the 90s like A Tribe Called Quest and Gang Starr. However, these songs are still resonating with millennials today who not only listen to their music but hear it sampled in contemporary hip hop music.
5. Rock:
Nostalgic for the cultural revolution of the 60s and 70s, millennials still enjoy listening to rock n’ roll music. There are many different types of rock music–pop rock, blues rock, alternative rock, and punk rock just to name a few. Current trends in rock music incorporate digital electronic music. Bands like Passion Pit, Grouplove, and Deerhunter, all fall into this category of music that is popular with millennials.

Jednakże w obecnej sytuacji stajecie w obliczu niewyobrażalnych dla was problemów praktycznych. Jeżeli wyczekujecie jedynie tego, co Bóg zaplanował, wasz postęp będzie zbyt powolny, a w życie tych, którzy nie wiedzą, jak doświadczać, wkradnie się dużo bierności. Jeżeli nie jesteś w stanie tego całkowicie przejrzeć, doświadczasz w sposób niemądry i mętny. Jeżeli masz jedynie słowa, a nie rzeczywistość, czyż nie jest to oznaka błądzenia? Silny stan błądzenia można dostrzec w was, w tej grupie. Dzisiaj nie potraficie dojść do prób jako „posługujący”, nie potraficie także wyobrazić sobie ani osiągnąć oczyszczenia związanego ze słowami Boga. Musicie trzymać się tego, co jest od was wymagane do zastosowania w praktyce. Dlatego też ludzie muszą wypełniać wiele przypisanych im obowiązków. Tego muszą się trzymać i stale wprowadzać w życie. Niech Duch Święty robi to, co do Niego należy; człowiek nie ma w tym żadnego udziału. Człowiek powinien trzymać się tego, co do niego należy, co nie ma nic wspólnego z Duchem Świętym. Jedynie to, co przypisano człowiekowi, powinno być przez niego wykonywane i przestrzegane niczym przykazanie, podobnie jak przestrzegano prawa Starego Testamentu. Chociaż Wiek Prawa przeminął, wiele słów przypominających swą wymową Wiek Prawa powinno być przestrzeganych, i nie wystarczy do tego samo poruszenie człowieka przez Ducha Świętego, ale wymaga to zaangażowania woli człowieka. Oto przykład: nie będziesz osądzał dzieła praktycznego Boga. Nie będziesz sprzeciwiał się osobie poświadczonej przez Boga. Będziesz znać swoje miejsce przed Bogiem i nie będziesz rozwiązły. Będziesz powściągliwy w mowie, a twe słowa i czyny muszą iść w parze z ustaleniami człowieka poświadczonego przez Boga. Będziesz poważał świadectwo Boga. Nie będziesz lekceważył dzieła Boga ani słów pochodzących z Jego ust. Nie będziesz imitował tonu ani zamierzeń Bożych wypowiedzi. Nie będziesz czynił jawnie nic, co jawnie sprzeciwia się człowiekowi poświadczonemu przez Boga. I tak dalej. Tego każdy powinien przestrzegać. Każdy wiek charakteryzują wyznaczane przez Boga podobne prawom reguły, których człowiek powinien przestrzegać. W ten sposób ujarzmia On usposobienie człowieka oraz wykrywa jego szczerość. Dla przykładu spójrzmy na słowa pochodzące z czasów Starego Testamentu: „Czcij swego ojca i swoją matkę”. Obecnie słowa te nie mają zastosowania. Wówczas wyznaczały jedynie granice ludzkiemu zewnętrznemu usposobieniu, ukazywały szczerość wiary człowieka w Boga oraz były znakiem tych, którzy w Niego wierzyli. Chociaż teraz panuje Wiek Królestwa, istnieje wiele reguł, których człowiek musi przestrzegać. Reguły z przeszłości nie znajdują zastosowania w teraźniejszości. Obecnie istnieje wiele bardziej odpowiednich i koniecznych praktyk do wykonywania przez człowieka. Dzieło Ducha Świętego ich nie dotyczy i muszą być one wykonywane przez człowieka.
Podczas Wieku Łaski wiele praktyk należących do Wieku Prawa zostało odrzuconych, ponieważ prawa te nie przyczyniały się do efektywności dzieła realizowanego w tych czasach. Następnie powstało wiele nowych praktyk dostosowanych do wieku, a które stały się regułami w obecnych czasach. Kiedy nadszedł Bóg dnia dzisiejszego, poprzednie praktyki stały się niepotrzebne i zostały odrzucone, a na ich miejsce powstało wiele innych praktyk dostosowanych do warunków obecnego dzieła. Obecnie praktyki te nie mają charakteru reguł, ale by osiągnąć skuteczność; dostosowane są do obecnych warunków, a jutro być może staną się regułami. Podsumowując: trzymaj się tego, co przyniesie korzyści obecnemu dziełu. Nie bacz na jutro. Dzisiejsze dokonania służą dniowi dzisiejszemu. Być może dzień jutrzejszy będzie wymagać od ciebie realizowania lepszych praktyk, ale nie zaprzątaj sobie tym zbytnio głowy; przestrzegaj tego, co jest aktualne dzisiaj, by nie sprzeciwiać się Bogu. Dzisiaj nic nie jest ważniejsze niż przestrzeganie tego, co następuje: nie będziesz oszukiwać bądź ukrywać niczego przed Bogiem, który stoi przed tobą. Nie będziesz wypowiadać obrzydliwości ani używać zuchwałego tonu wobec obecnego przed tobą Boga. Nie będziesz zwodzić Go dobrymi słowami i piękną mową po to, by zdobyć Jego zaufanie. W twoim zachowaniu nie będzie brakować szacunku. Będziesz posłuszny wszelkiemu słowu pochodzącemu z ust Boga, nie będziesz opierać się Jego słowom, sprzeciwiać się im czy je kwestionować. Nie będziesz interpretować słów pochodzących z ust Boga według własnego uznania. Będziesz uważnie strzec ust swoich, by nie paść ofiarą kłamliwych intryg ludzi nikczemnych. Będziesz uważnie strzec swych kroków, by nie naruszyć granic wyznaczonych przez Boga. W przeciwnym razie słowa twe będą postrzegane z perspektywy Boga jako zarozumiałe i próżne, a tym samym staną się dla Niego obrzydliwością. Nie będziesz bezmyślnie powtarzać słów pochodzących z ust Boga, by nie stać się przedmiotem szyderstw ludzi i by diabły nie zrobiły z ciebie głupca. Będziesz posłuszny całemu obecnemu dziełu Boga. Nawet jeżeli tego dzieła nie pojmujesz, nie będziesz go osądzać; możesz jedynie poszukiwać i żyć we wspólnocie. Nikt nie może naruszyć pierwotnego miejsca Boga. Do ciebie nie należy nic więcej, jedynie służba Bogu dnia dzisiejszego z pozycji człowieka. Nie możesz nauczać Boga dnia dzisiejszego z pozycji ludzkiej – jest to błędem. Nikt nie może stanąć na miejscu człowieka poświadczonego przez Boga; twoim miejscem jest miejsce człowieka wraz z jego słowami, czynami i najskrytszymi myślami. To jest odpowiedzialnością człowieka i tego należy przestrzegać, nikt nie może tego zmienić. W przeciwnym razie zarządzenia administracyjne zostałyby naruszone. Wszyscy powinni o tym pamiętać.
Bóg poświęcił dużo czasu na przekazywanie swych słów. To sprawiło, że człowiek uznał czytanie i zapamiętywanie Bożych słów za swoje najważniejsze zadanie. Nikt nie zwraca uwagi na praktykowanie, nawet to, które należy do waszych obowiązków, nie jest przestrzegane. Przez to wasza służba napotkała wiele trudności i problemów. Jeżeli nie przestrzegasz tego, czego masz obowiązek przestrzegać, zanim zaczniesz praktykować słowa Boga, wówczas jesteś jednym z tych, których Bóg nienawidzi i odrzuca. Te praktyki należy wypełniać szczerze i żarliwie. Nie możesz traktować ich niczym kajdany, ale przestrzegać niczym przykazań. Obecnie nie musisz martwić się o wymagane rezultaty; w skrócie – w taki sposób działa Duch Święty, a ktokolwiek popełni wykroczenie, musi umrzeć. Duch Święty jest pozbawiony emocji, nie baczy na sposób twego obecnego rozumowania. Jeżeli dziś popełnisz wykroczenie wobec Niego, wówczas On ciebie ukarze. Jeśli popełnisz wykroczenie w zakresie podlegającym Jego jurysdykcji, wówczas On ciebie nie oszczędzi. Dla Niego nie jest istotne, jak poważnie traktujesz swój obowiązek przestrzegania słów Jezusa. Jeśli łamiesz dzisiejsze przykazania Boga, Bóg cię ukarze; skarze cię na śmierć. W jaki sposób możesz akceptować to, że ich nie przestrzegasz? Musisz starać się nawet kosztem niewielkiego bólu! Niezależnie od religii, grupy, narodu czy wyznania, w przyszłości wszyscy muszą dostosować się do tych praktyk. Nikt nie jest zwolniony, nikt nie będzie oszczędzony! Te praktyki są tym, czego dzisiaj dokona Duch Święty i pozostają one nienaruszalne. Chociaż nie są czymś niezwykłym, muszą być stosowane przez każdego, gdyż są przykazaniami ustanowionymi dla człowieka przez Jezusa, który zmartwychwstał i wstąpił do niebios. Czyż „Ścieżka… (7)” nie mówi, że Jezus nazywa cię sprawiedliwym lub grzesznikiem na podstawie twojej dzisiejszej postawy wobec Boga? Nikt nie może tego przeoczyć. W Starym Testamencie faryzeusze, pokolenie za pokoleniem, wierzyli w Boga, ale gdy nastał Wiek Łaski, nie poznali Jezusa i się Mu sprzeciwili. Wszystko, czego dokonali do tej pory, okazało się daremnym wysiłkiem i obróciło się w nicość, i Bóg tego nie przyjął. Jeżeli to dostrzegasz, nie zgrzeszysz tak łatwo. Być może wielu usiłowało przeciwstawić się Bogu: jak taki bunt smakuje – jest gorzki czy słodki? Musisz to zrozumieć – nie udawaj, że nie wiesz. Być może niektórzy wciąż nie są przekonani w swych sercach. Ja jednak nalegam: spróbuj i zobacz – zobacz, jak to smakuje. Dzięki temu wielu ludzi pozbędzie się ciągłych podejrzeń na ten temat. Wielu z nich czyta słowa Boga, jednakże w sekrecie Mu się sprzeciwiają. Gdy sprzeciwisz się Jemu w ten sposób, czy nie czujesz, jakby w twym sercu obracano nóż? Jeżeli nie chodzi tu o rodzinną niezgodę, to być może o fizyczną dolegliwość bądź przypadłości synów i córek. Chociaż twe ciało uniknęło śmierci, ręka Boga nigdy cię nie opuści. Czy myślisz, że może być to takie proste? Szczególnie ci, którzy pozostają blisko Boga, jeszcze bardziej powinni skupić się na tym temacie. Z czasem zapomnisz o tym i nie zauważysz nawet, kiedy oddasz się pokusie i nieświadomy niczego staniesz na początku drogi grzechu. Czy wydaje się to tobie nieistotne? Jeżeli się postarasz, masz szansę na zostanie udoskonalonym – otrzymasz wsparcie wprost z ust Boga w obliczu Boga. Jeżeli nie potraktujesz tego poważnie, wówczas dopadną cię kłopoty – bunt przeciwko Bogu, rozwiązłość twoich słów i czynów, a wkrótce poniosą cię w dal wielkie zawirowania i potężne fale. Każdy z was powinien zwracać uwagę na te przykazania. Jeśli je złamiesz,prawdopodobnie nie doznasz potępienia od człowieka, o którym poświadczył Bóg, ale Duch Boży jeszcze z tobą nie skończył; nie oszczędzi cię. Czy myślisz, że jesteś w stanie popełnić wykroczenie? Dlatego też, niezależnie od tego, co Bóg mówi, musisz wcielać w życie Jego słowa, musisz się do nich stosować z całych swoich sił. To nie takie proste!

God will use words to conquer the universe. He will do this not by His incarnate flesh, but through using the utterances from the mouth of God become flesh to conquer all people in the entire universe; only this is the Word become flesh, and only this is the appearance of the Word in the flesh. Perhaps, to people, it appears as if God hasn’t done much work—but God has but to utter His words for people to be thoroughly convinced, and for them to be overawed. Without facts, people shout and scream; with the words of God, they fall silent. The south nave window was installed to commemorate the Millennium, and shows floral elements of the local landscape combined with an image of the church.
It is a well executed piece using hand-made glass; It is clearly making the effort not to diminish the light in an already not overly bright interior. The danger is that windows like this can have a tendency to look almost timid, or half-hearted. (admittedly this often arises as a precondition placed upon the artist)
However at least in this instance the artist (who's name I don't recall) has attempted to integret the plain areas into the overall design, avoiding the 'inserted section'/'limited budget' look many such windows can have (like the west window here)

Fig-lab presents the Millennial Monsters Series
Since the dawn of this new millennium an outstanding number of Japanese Character creators have emerged whose primary medium of expression is Japanese Vinyl. The Japanese vinyl figure has a 40 year legacy which attests to its integrity and durability as an artistic medium. In our on-demand fast turnaround post-modern world, the means of production have been made available to independent artists who can now create smaller runs than demanded by the tool and die mentality of the previous century. This further evidenced by the increasing number of creators worldwide who crossing over from the mass produced milieu of the factory back to the province of the craftsmen of Japan's vinyl trade.
Millennial Monsters will be a series of exclusive releases from Fig-lab of recent original Japanese vinyl figures in a signature color way. Many of the figures chosen for the series have been sculpted and painted by the artists themselves. All are self-financed labors of love. The objective of the series to highlight some of these outstanding creators, producers and their endearing characters. In addition to the releases themselves, effort will be made to showcase the the backstories of the characters, a history of the figure and an insight to the creative process of each artist.
The first three releases from the series will be available in San Diego at the Onell Design/GFS2009 booth (#4937)
The name of the series is an unabashed homage to the book Millennial Monsters: Japanese Toys and the Global Imagination by Anne Allison, which is the most outstanding book I have ever read about post-war Japanese society and its relationship with the west through toys, characters and entertainment.

Gen Z and Millennials love escaping into fantasy worlds – and now celebrity chef Adam Handling has created two recipes to help them eat fictional foods for real.
The Michelin Star chef and recently crowned Great British Menu’s ‘Champion of Champions’ has worked out how home cooks can magic up Quippers and Chips from Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), followed by the role-playing game’s famous Vegetable Platter.
He devised the recipes after more than half (54%) of people aged between 18 and 42 revealed they had already tried to recreate grub from a fictional land - And older Brits are getting on board with the trend too.
In a new survey of 2,000 adults, 77% of respondents across all age groups admitted they had longed to taste food or drink featured in a movie, game, book or TV show.
And a whopping 83% reckon it would be fun to try new dishes based on make-believe worlds.
But not all fictional foods are equally appealing, according to the survey commissioned to mark the launch of a new boardgame Dungeons & Dragons: The Yawning Portal by its publishers Avalon Hill.
Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Bar was named by 43% as a food or drink from fictional worlds they would love to try, beating a tempting Hot Chocolate from Polar Express (37%) and The Simpson’s Krusty Burger (32%).
However, a revolted 36% said they would swerve Dr Seuss’s iconic Green Eggs and Ham, closely followed by 32% giving a firm no to Grey Stuff from Beauty and the Beast and 31% who wisely never want to taste Slurm from Futurama.
Food fans might wonder how Handling will make Quippers – carnivorous fish with sharp teeth that like to gather in swarms in the role-play game – in any way appetising.
But the Dundee-born chef, whose flagship Michelin-starred restaurant Frog is in London’s Covent Garden, has hot fantasy cooking form.
He triumphed on the Great British Menu after creating a ‘Food Fight’ pudding with throwable custard and smashable cake, inspired by The Beano comic.
His Quippers are made from fish covered in a tasty beer batter, while the Vegetable Platter features orzo – a type of pasta shaped like large grains of rice – tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.
Sara Westby from Hasbro UK said, “The Dungeons & Dragons universe is rich in lore and wonder and the new Yawning Portal boardgame seamlessly blends the fantasy franchise with exceptional boardgame gameplay".
The new dishes should go down well with players of Dungeons & Dragons: The Yawning Portal, who take on the role of the tavern’s innkeeper and feed hungry adventurers by matching food tokens with hero cards.
