Photographed during the final few days of the Millenium Dome Exhibition in London on 30th December 2000. The displays and show were wonderfully inventive and entertaining. It was a great experience.

Being now an ex Londoner for all of 6 months, I went back and saw London with different eyes. I was born about a mile from here and when I walked around here this spot just screamed "PHOTO" at me!
This is just inside a field at the top of Loads road and I think was installed by Holymoorside Historical Society. There are 8 of these stones at the principle points of the compass with a further central stone in the village hall car park. The wording is part of a phrase "Note within west Derbyshire engraved stands in land these our millenium record" Bits of the message on each of the stones. BS stands for boundary stone although one of them has BP
While reorganising my files, I came across a bunch of old shots I had taken with a Nikon Coolpix 950 back around 2000-2001. This is a handheld shot taken inside the Millenium Dome in London during the rather spectacular show they ran. I never figured out what the story was but the staging was fabulous (full disclosure - my brother was the stage manager or ASM at the time).
The O2 has stairs all the way up to the top of the building now, it's called The Skywalk.
You can see the Emirates Air Line (Cable Car) to the left of the dome. With the new skyscrapers having viewing gallerys for the public, London's becoming a bit more of an interactive city.

A belly shot, the third in my Salford Quays at night series.
A detail of the millenium bridge. In this picture you see the strange way in which the bridge is suspended over the river. I also like the contrast between the blue sky with white clouds and the dark clouds above it. They seem to follow the shape of the bridge.

New York City, New York: I was in NYC for a few days for work - stayed at the Millenium Hilton, which is convenient for my meetings being in the center of downtown. It is directly across the street from the World Trade Center site, which is a massive construction area currently.
Fairly standard Millenium Bridge, looked for different angles but as it was dark I though a long exposure with people may make it more interesting
