Ah, the haggis migration season, a time when Scotland's most elusive creature embarks on its secretive journey across the highlands. It's a spectacle so rare that some say it's as mythical as the creatures themselves! But let's not forget the practicalities amidst the legend – those road sign warnings are no joke. Imagine driving along, minding your own business, when suddenly, a wild haggis herd appears, scurrying across the road with their uneven legs, perfectly adapted for the rolling Scottish hills. It's enough to make you spill your Irn-Bru! So, while some may chuckle at the "Haggis Xing" signs, they serve a noble purpose: protecting drivers from unexpected haggis encounters and ensuring the safe passage of these legendary creatures during their secretive autumnal trek.

The WIdebeest migration; which some people say (and I tend to believe them) is one the 7 wonders of the world. The wildebeest are the migration – there is neither start nor finish to their endless search for food and water, as they circle the Serengeti - Mara ecosystem in a relentless sequence of life and death.
There is little predictability about the migration, and questions as to which is the best month to view it are likely to get different answers from different people. In this image, a massive heard was on its way towards the Mara regions from Serengeti. I was lucky to find such a huge bunch crossing.
This is a reverse inverse pan shot (also know as zoom out planning along with horizontal panning) taken at about 5 15 PM.

We had thousands of Red-Winged Blackbirds and Grackles fly over our house. They were migrating from Canada. If you stepped outside their songs were deafening. It was amazing!!
(this is only a fraction of the birds that flew over... there was a steady stream like this for at least a half hour)

I know it's not a traditionally great warbler shot, but I really like the exposure here -- gives an idea of the bird in its normal setting, I think.
