The first great storm of 2015. I am glad I was in the area to shoot it over New York City.

We went for drinks at The Press Lounge rooftop bar last night. The rain poured for 10 minutes and then stopped. I took this out on the balcony as the shower headed out and the sky cleared.

The Press Lounge is at the top of Ink 48, a hotel on the corner of 48th and 11th.

Might be a little more processing than I am used to, but I couldn't help myself. There was too much color to take advantage of.

I've walked by this spot hundreds, maybe even thousands of times. First walking home from school and then walking in the area. I never saw the back of this property until now and it was a huge surprise. This is something I'd imagine I'd find in the Northern part of Chatham, not Midtown Toronto.

mini rant.. what does a person have to do to get a pic explored these days? It is really no big deal, I know, but I just realized after getting pics in Explore every 6 weeks or so.. I haven't had any in months going on a year.. and I am not doing anything different and don't feel my pics are worse.. hrmpppppppphhhhhh :) :)

Mini rant over and now back to your regularly scheduled dose of normal people doing insanely mundane things on the streets of NY :)
