Terrific Thursday to you my friend.

The middle of the day is often not the best time for photography, but on the upside, it is also a time when the buzzards and other birds of prey seem to like to hunt. It would be easy enough to photoshop one in of course, but for the record, this one's real!

The fog didn't lift until midday and now it's a beautiful sunny afternoon.

Taken at Ricketts Glen, love the way the sun hit the water to bring out the golden color. Every time it rains heavy the water at Ricketts Glen gets a golden hue to it. Taken with a 6 stop filter.

Often try to get early morning or late afternoon photos of this tree but I don't mind this midday shot.

He looked like he was bowing his head before diving down to the winter supply of sun flower seeds.

 

It took me over 6 years to get it right, well sort of. I can finally say that I really like the result. From choice of positioning and lighting...

I hope I can recreate my old pictures with the same style and start again.
