An interesting look at everyday things.

I bought a cheap USB powered Microscope and then started exploring. Some of the images were very unexpected so I thought I would post a few.

 

This cover is yellow but close up you can see the individual colour dots.

 

2015

Entry 22 - This lab was one that I was pretty familiar with. I took aquatic ecology last semester here at the FEC and had a great time collecting the samples from Goodson Pond. The experience with microscopes helped me tremendously with this lab. However, I have never used the computer system that allows you to take pictures of your slide. This opened up a whole new world of photography and appreciation for the images others have curated through this method.

A microscope begs for pond water exploration...

This is right at the entrance of the room about science during the 18th century at the Science Museum, and it's a microscope complete with these little figures near the eyepiece. It gets more workmanlike again beneath them, but it's still fantastic.
