small [smawl]-of limited size; of comparatively restricted dimensions; not big; little: a small box.
Crazy to say I took this photo with my smart phone while trying to take a photo through a microscope. even though eventually it worked, I loved seeing the photos that turned out very good but not in the way I wanted it to in the beginning. the needle in the microscope is so crisp and clear while the eye piece is very blurry, just waiting for the right eye to see the amazing things it has waiting underneath.
both sides are designed and this is one view. this was before i soldered and added the loops and ribbons for hanging.

Sitting at the scope, sorting through dirt used to fill a small hole in the ground. This hole was filled in some 600 years ago in what is now Pennsylvania . Lots of little things found there way into that hole.
I took this set of pictures while at college studying photography. They had a special microscope that a camera was attached to. We all grew crystals and photographed them as they grew. I found the slides while sorting the other day and thought you would enjoy them as they are quite beautiful. :)
The grands enjoyed exploring the miniature world of the microscope. Snow White explained to me how she focused the scope.
At the ReStore in Lawrence, Kansas - any insight as to the purpose of the this - and the original tag would be of interest - we did NOT buy this - it is there for you to buy!
Provisionally I am calling this as Chrysis impressa.
These are some test shots with the new Hi-Chrome Camera and GMZ microscope. I think the new kit will prove immensely useful for identifying these extremely challenging wasps. The series of shots here cover some of the key characters one has to look at. Normally one needs to match five or more out of seven characters to approach confidence in one's determination.
Being able to compare images will make this challenging task a little easier (hopefully).
Woodinville Whiskey Rye. Approx. 40X I accidentally put a lot on this slide, and it wound up being a happy accident.
