I bought a cheap USB powered Microscope and then started exploring. Some of the images were very unexpected so I thought I would post a few.

Its Jewish influence has led to it being described as the "Jerusalem of Lithuania" and Napoleon named it "the Jerusalem of the North" as he was passing through in 1812. In 2009, Vilnius was the European Capital of Culture, together with the Austrian city of Linz.

A digital microscope is a variant of an optical microscope that uses optics and a digital camera to output an image to a monitor, sometimes through software running on a computer.
Our daily challenge - Knowledge
Shot this one with my phonecam through a microscope at my nature course. The red worm in the water drop is called a sludge worm (Tubifex tubifex) and is found at the bottom in rivers and lakes. Now you know too :-))

I own a Microscope that i like to stare into for hours. I take a good amount of pictures of the interesting critters i find but this is the best one.

2015
Tom Perkins, a JILA fellow, makes adjustments on an Atomic Force Microscope in the basement of the JILA building on campus. Perkins is employed with JILA, meaning he works both with the MCDB department at CU, as well as with NIST.
SB-600 to camera left with green gel - the gel was making things too green so I untaped one side and positioned it to keep his face in clean light but left it on to add some color interest to the photo.
