Finally digitized this creation. It has a few more fixes, namely a more clear interior, folding fins, better guns, and rear landing gear. I've had 10 or so Microscale vehicles and spacecraft sitting on my building table at home for about 3 years now, waiting for me to build another Microscale diorama. But I'm now too bored of them to use them even if I do. So I'm just going to post them up here and pull 'em apart - too many good pieces tied up in these things.
Aside from the Earthling colonists and pioneers, the Galactic Rim is populated by several indigenous species. The mammalian Oroso evolved space travel fifty years after the human race. However, unlike humanity, the discovery of the stars and faster-than-light travel quickly brought the many nations of the Oroso together moving towards the same cause.
Fast forward to present day, and the Oroso Conclave is one of the most stable presences in the area. With several sites of asteroid mining and an expanding colony sector, protection is provided by the Astro-Oroso. Their naval mainstay is the Jnai'tk-class Light Cruiser, a ship-to-ship specialist. Solidly built with old fashioned multi-barrel fragmentation cannons and overlapping armour plates, the Vorq-snk packs real bang for it's proverbial buck. Able to go toe-to-toe with pirate capital ships and Wun'Tux clanships, the J'nai'tk has little anti-fighter weaponry to speak of and can be isolated by intelligent use of snubfighter squadrons in opposition. This image shows a J'nai'tk with a mercenary Blackjack as an anti-fighter escort.

background: I live in a city with a very famous, very old University. Most of the Colleges are old but there is a new crop of University buildings which are kind of new and more exciting, architecturally speaking. This microscale is inspired by one of the sites of the Computing Dept.

Fukuro Corp. worked with the nomadic warriors of the Glalsi people to bring the tiny, tough fighting style to dogfighting. The designers identified an aesthetic redolent of old Earth fancy cars and the Glalsi didn’t object to the design being nicknamed so.
A quick built. No longer than 2 hours of work. Kind of tower in the middle of the lake or sea, attacked by the dragon.
Man this thing is dusty! It's only been sitting here on my desk for a week, tops.
This will be my brother-n-law's birthday present, hopefully he likes it as much I liked my present. Heavily influenced by the Skeksis's Castle. There's a couple of parts to finish it off and I will print a title for the base as well.

The Deutz-AG manufactured Scanner-Jammer is a multipurpose drone designed to augment civilian and military organisations.
Primarily the drone is a remotely operated scanning device, capable of passive and active scanning and real time updates to a sentient operator, usually on-board a nearby ship. However, the S/J can be used as a forward spotter for artillery, increasing the accuracy and effectiveness of space-based weaponry by more detailed guidance and telemetry.
The technology crammed into the drone can be reversed and flipped around in order to disrupt the scans and guidance systems of nearby vessels, too. Although skilled sensor operators can construct workarounds, the S/J can easily disrupt and scramble the data guiding snubfighters, shuttles and even some capital ship scale missiles.
The S/J cannot function whilst moving, however, and moves at half the speed of most snubfighters. The example pictured is on the periphery of an asteroid belt, using environment protection to keep it as far from harm's way as possible.

Special: Markedly increases effectiveness of sensors in the same fleet, as well as their targeting effectiveness. Secondarily, can jam nearby sensors and ships to create confusion and chaos.

Ever since I first saw Ulrik Hansen's wonderful Copenhagen model (www.flickr.com/photos/ulrikbrick/albums/72157686587763290), I've been playing with the idea of using those techniques... so here's a small attempt at that. Of course it's Billund and it's 1954 because a map is available (map.krak.dk/?c=55.731508%2C9.114313&z=18&l=historic) and it will be easy to expand even in parts of the town not covered by the usual photos. I went for muted colors because all I have as reference are black and white photos and that black and white map. Also white buildings look great, in my opinion!
