Not really based on the BattleTech machine of the same name.

A very European-style statue that is several stories high. Hail Caesar!

I was inspired to make a micro scale castle today. And here is the end result.

I haven't posted much of anything recently, life has been pretty busy. But that doesn't mean that I haven't been building. I have been working on a technic uh-1h/1b huey, and it is still very much a WIP.

More pictures to come soon.

I could use any suggestions for a name for the castle.

More of the microscale I have lying around. Some kind of off road explorer, I'm not even sure which is the front end.

Could have sworn I'd already uploaded these.

another view of my microscale set of riverside London buildings.

more pics in my photo stream ... and did you notice I've done a similar set for Milano ?

A small castle and village by the sea.

Built for the MCC over at Classic-castle.

I do like to be beside the seaside...

An old-fashioned artillery piece, drafted in as a coastal battery.

After seeing sooo many great microscale mechs lately (Pascal, Nate, Dave and Shannon's work comes to mind), I was inspired to build something from my pile of unsorted bricks. The Vofleman is a long range plasma cannon marksman able to lay down heavy fire from great distances. Two cannons fired one by one help to prevent overheating while maintaining a heavy barrage.

No own creativity in this one, just copied.

As a company, Reveniens fills a complicated and legally dubious niche in the Goodfellow Cluster's mobile frame marketplace. Although not technically a member company of the Free Allied Ergotocracies, they remain faithful to enough of the FAE's Best Practice Standards that they qualify for a special trade status that allows them to operate freely in FAE space and avoid many of the taxes levied against non-members. This status allows them to buy second-hand, damaged and decomissioned Phayze Fructifiation, inc. products at much lower prices than other non-FAE companies, work their particular brand of magic on them, and then sell them at absurd profit margins to parties that are unable to achieve the same special trade status or pay FAE taxes on mobile frames.

For this reason, Reveniens is frequently brought up in conversations that begin with talk of the Cluster's more unsavory elements, such as pirates, unlicensed mercenaries and, of course, the Etton Conglomerate.

The Nagini were built primarily for space combat, housing a large number of small verniers within the segments of the tail which provide extreme mobility in microgravity. On land, however, they are almost as effective and can use those verniers in concert with rapid tail movements to propel themselves at shocking speeds.

Originally, this was meant to be a modified version of my Alfar frame posted previously, but by the time I finished modifying it there was basically nothing left of the original, except a few parts in the head - oh, and they're both about the same height, so there's that. ^^;

"Naga", I discovered, is an interesting word. Most depictions of Naga that I found were female, which is odd because "Naga" actually refers to the males, and "Nagini" to females. I think the confusion comes from the very similar "Lamia" of Greek myth - a woman transformed into a baby-eating snake monster. Cool, right? This is why I use mythical names for my mechs - I learn a lot while wiki-walking to find the perfect name for a build. ^^

Anyway, ever since building Arcee a while back I've wanted to try building more "feminine" mechs, but I really wanted to avoid the cheesy fembot look. The snake tail helps to convey a long, lithe body, and gave me a nice cinching effect at the waist. Slim forearms and a narrow 1-stud torso enhance the effect.

My micro version of the double decker couch. I need to find a micro cape for Vitruvius!

The Drenner E-51, while highly outdated now, pioneered the now-common "isolation" method of mining, in which the surrounding rock is vaporized using low-intensity bolts and the material is gathered via tractor beam and sent to the aft processing unit.

This craft must be used in tandem with a shipping barge, as it has no internal holds of its own.

Discovered this a while ago, though this is my first attempt at using them in an MOC. So using a combination of rubber bands on the studs can help create interesting patterns especially when displaying the anti studs. In terms of usefulness, I can imagine these looking great as a hexagonal panel background or as landing pads as I have used them.

From here.

I tried my hand at microscale again. I think this one is my favorite!

The Raptor Class light cruiser forms the backbone of the Cerulos Navy. lightly armed, but highly maneuverable, it is always an unwelcome sight to ne'er-do-wells

This is my Grandad's house rendered in LEGO on a micro scale. It was a present for him on Christmas 2013. :-)

I have many fond memories of Christmases spent here. Notice the striped lawns, the golden retrievers in the front garden, the half-tile brackets on the garage doors, and not one, not two but three chimneys!

The Northern Barracks give soldiers a small reprieve from the horrors of war away from the main battlegrounds. The small compound is enclosed except for a loading zone for supplies and other sundries. A large spotlight aids visibility for nocturnal deliveries and deliveries during inclement weather.

The radio tower is a staple of this small community. It transmits and receives important information to the resting infantry, including news from home and updates from the war front.

continuing the series of Architecture-inspired sets, here is London riverside : Houses of Parliament, MI6, Millenium Wheel and the Shard

I have seen several London microscale MOCs but none that has the Shard yet. So, I hope this is original enough ...

btw, one of my favourites is the little build by Elspeth De Montes I found on the VeloVixen blog

Left is South. The courtyard is the entrance to the house and also screens out the southern sun. The main living area opens into both the courtyard and the back yard. As you can see it's a quite small house, for one or two.

Alpha Sigma 3 was a planet with abundant oil producing bacteria, so successful was this life form that after millions of years the planet was covered in huge oceans of oil. Unfortunately the planet was hit by a rogue moon that smashed it to pieces.

Humanity arrived millions of years later and discovered the seas of oil had frozen into asteroids of all sizes.

Soon the petroleum companies arrived, this is a dust scanning ship for seeking out new rich sources of hydrocarbons.

Fourth time I've built this landmark and the smallest yet

Finally digitized this creation. It has a few more fixes, namely a more clear interior, folding fins, better guns, and rear landing gear. The arms also move up and down at the shoulder area slightly but I forgot to animate that. There are instructions for this model here: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-47640/TheRealBeef1213/prowler

Only two more to go after this! Almost over with this hemorrhage of microscale spaceships.

Finally managed to create some Attachments for my Erebus squad that I'm happy with.

The Hulk is on the attack !

as suggested by some of you ( thanks to MinifigNick and Tiese the customizer), I've used the backdrop of Las LegoVegas to stage few scenes of attacks by oversized creatures.

Freighter #3 of 4, a big one this time.

Made for the 3T Challenge over at the Mobile Frame Hangar. The challenge was to create an MFZ mech without using a travis brick, tap, or t-piece.

Built in about 20 minutes whilst watching the European GP.

Contsructing microscale mecha without those bits many of us use to create articulation is an interesting challenge. One the best builds that has come out of the 'contest' is the Bullfrog . You should check it out.

Freighter #2 of 4. A couple of the shots got blown out but I was far too lazy to reshoot.

One of the most feared and heavily armored ships in the KEFS, this is responsible for the transport of many soldiers and supplies to the colonies in deep space. Even the combined Corporate fleets fear the mighty Perrigot's three Viken missles, twin Sonic Fusion cannons, front 16 pounder cannon, and two heavy anti-fighter guns.

The total building time was 6 hours.

Enjoy! And yes, I wanted it "Chunky".

The last of my freighters for now and the first one I built. Bonus commentary here: ktorrek.blogspot.com/2019/05/crafting-challenge-week-5.html
