Found cat: Himrod/Stanhope/Irving/Wyckoff. This extremely friendly big girl has been living in a neighbor's backyard for several days. We scanned her for a microchip and found one! Her name is Nena but the chip was never fully enrolled so we don't have any owner info. If you recognize this cat please let us know. If the adopter doesn't make themselves known soon we'll start looking for a new home for her. She's such a lovely cat it's hard to imagine someone could abandon her, hoping her people see this. Dr. Kim Murphy microchips a dog during the YQ 300 vet check. All of the Yukon Quest dogs are required to have microchips; while it is not a requirement for the 300 mile race, it is still a good idea.

My assistant is having a party and wants a strobe light. Here she is assembling one from a kit.

The Lost Dogs' Home & National Pet Register attended the Whittlesea Family Day on the 15th February to offer free ID tags & microchips to pets living in the bushfire-ravaged area.

The Lost Dogs' Home's mission is: 'To serve the community and enhance the welfare of dogs and cats by alleviating animal suffering and reducing the number of lost, injured and unwanted animals.'

Established in 1910 we care for approximately 20,000 lost, stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats each year.
