I always loved Lego Architecture sets and I always wanted to build this amazing fictional location in micro version. It is based on the look of the castle in the last two movies.

This is my third iteration in many years. Finally, I was able to build this in real. The first two versions (very old and digital-only) can be found on Lego Ideas:

A recent shot from a photo excursion in Braamfontein. This old VW bus used to be known as a micro bus, and was really popular in the 1980s. Shot cross processed to give an effect relevant to the time

Micro-Moth snapped in the inside of our conservatory window (OK it needs cleaning!).

Background OOF is our garden.

Apparently, as hidden wonders of the Lepidopteran world, micro-moths contribute to nutrient cycling, pollination, and food webs, playing vital roles in terrestrial ecosystems worldwide.

The first frog to compete in the dangerous space-rally, Frogger Frogginton has a very unique ship. Since he doesn't have a navigator anymore (it was a fly. Yum) he has a complex antennae array surrounding his ship which can be deployed if needed, along with maneuvering fins.

Apparently these tiny little bits of plastic do far more damage than larger man-made objects in the sea. Animals eat them and so don't get enough real food and/or die.

It's hard to see what "beach cleans" and the like can do about the stuff that washes up on beaches - it's far too tiny to pick up every bit.

I guess it's WIP showcase day for me.

I started this in order to use the big 8x8 aircraft fuselage parts. On the whole, I like it, but I'm unsure of what to do for engines. I also wouldn't mind some suggestions about stickers. If I can find the right ones I'm sure they'd work great on this, but I don't have the best eye for them.

A micro-scale smart car. A friend of mine owns a smart so when I created these she insisted that I build an all-black one to match her car! It's not in the photo because it's on her dashboard :)

At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the micro reactor (exploded view shown here) has been used to convert bio-mass dry feedstocks into value-added products. The micro reactor is used for catalytic processing in any kind of chemical process development.

This lighthouse has stood watch over this harbour for centuries; a solid monolith carved from the surrounding rocks, casting a reassuring gaze and providing safe passage for many a passing ship.

This VV is rather conventional in shape, though less so in building technique. It's all held together along one bar in the center, and the cockpit is held in only by friction.

I'm a big fan of the new holey round 1x1 plates. :)
