These small lizards scoot around everywhere. This one was on the sidewalk in front of my mom's house. My mom says the orange "fan" on its neck is used to attract a mate. Was this gecko flirting with me?

the waves don't look so bad, but the color of the water tells me that a lot of roiling action is going on below the surface. not to mention the displacement of sand above the high tide line.
