Metropolitan Miami is the major tourism hub in the American South, number two in the U.S. after New York City and number 13 in the world, including the popular destination of Miami Beach.

South Pointe Park is a 17-acre urban park in Miami Beach, Florida in the neighborhood of South Beach. The park underwent a major renovation in 2009 costing around $22 million. It is also one of the largest urban parks in Miami Beach. The park has a restaurant, as well as various kids parks, dog areas, and water features. South Pointe Park is the southernmost point of South Beach and goes along Government Cut with great views of Biscayne Bay, Fisher Island, Downtown Miami, and the Atlantic Ocean. It is the main park in the SoFi neighborhood, South Beach's most expensive neighborhood, with many high-rise luxury apartment buildings.(wikki)

Kunterbunt ist es im Historic District: einzigartig ist die Art Déco Architektur, die in ihrer Hülle und Fülle ihres Gleichen sucht.
Die meisten der Gebäude stammen aus den 30er und 40er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts. Sie wurden auf der südlichen Spitze von Miami Beach errichtet und sollten zwischenzeitlich abgerissen werden. Proteste von Bürgerinitiativen verhinderten das jedoch und die Art Déco Gebäude wurden restauriert. The Historic District is a colorful place: the Art Deco architecture is unique and unparalleled in its abundance.
Most of the buildings date back to the 1930s and 1940s. They were built on the southern tip of Miami Beach and were due to be demolished in the meantime. However, protests by citizens' initiatives prevented this and the Art Deco buildings were restored. The Art Déco District in Miami Beach is not only a popular photo motif, but also a living open-air museum.
