When there's a shortage of double deckers at Croydon, the next best thing is one of these Scania OmniCity single deckers.
Metrobus Scania OmniCity single deck 562 (YN58BNA) is seen in Croydon Garage with the rear blind set to route 119,

The end is nigh for the 5 remaining unique Scania N230UD/OmniDekka's in the Metrobus fleet, as fleet standardisation means that Enviro 400's of a similar age made redundant from other routes are replacing these OmniDekkas.
Sad to see these beasts leave but the writing had been on the wall for some time.
Metrobus 948 (YN07EXG) is seen at West Croydon Bus Station on route 405. This bus transferred to Orpington in November following the tragic fire that took place and is now allocated to route 353
Go Ahead London 153 (YX60FTY) on route B14 at Bexleyheath on 02/02/2018
Metrobus took over the route through the takeover Tellings Golden Miller's Orpington operations in 2005, which included the B14.
To make up for losses at Bexleyheath garage in 2016, the route was moved from Orpington to Bexleyheath with its allocated Enviro200s.
On the last day of Go Ahead's operation is 153, resting before a trip to Orpington Station

Metrobus have been conducting fuel comparison trials during September, with some of the buses usually used on route 202 finding their way onto route 465 - and vice versa. 723 (AE09 DHV) is seen here outside Dorking Station.

I nearly wet myself when i saw these all parked up, my perfect bus line up nearly...just needed the Lynx 1266 to complete the line up from L to R ...3053, 3057, 2642, 2811, 2912. I dont like hieghts either my hands were sweating while i took this quickly and quickly hurried down. Photo taken millennium place 30/03/14

The last one standing.
Over the past week, Metrobus have decided to withdraw their remaining Scania N230UD/Optare Olympuses and replace them with ex New Cross and Camberwell Enviro 400's dating from 2007. At the end of the week, only 882 was left in service, and it is seen at Addington Village on route 353. Fortunately, there are currently no plans to withdraw the N230UD's allocated to the 405, although unrefurbished 947 has already been sold.
These started life on routes 54/75, until they were scattered around East London following the loss of the two routes to Stagecoach.

Great to see this again! Metrobus Scania OmniCity DD 955 (YR58SNY) is seen in Croydon Garage on a route 293 spreadover duty. I still remember seeing this bus when it came back from refurbishment back in July, this time, it has a brand new set of blinds.

A 2000 Orion V seen in April 2019 running the D6. These buses were the last remaining link to the older Metrobus livery before they were retired in 2020.
Seen in Epsom in June 2020 are Metrobus Alexander Dennis Enviro200 6701 SN65OFG (new to Ratho Coaches in 2016) and 6702 YY66PFD (new to Wheelers Travel of North Baddesley in 2016).
