Ferjo is a one of the most famous living artists in the world today. His work embodies the essence of twenty first century contemporary art. He is considered the world’s pre-eminent living surrealists and is most famous for his metaphysical art. Ferjo’s most famous work portrays life-like situations in stunning realism and then plays with ideas of perspective, line, and color into something surreal.
Born in Bahia, Brazil in 1946 with the Fernando de Jesus Oliveria, the artist later changed his named to Ferjo. Ferjo trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts from 1975 through 1979. Although he originally began by painting Cubist landscapes, he soon moved on to Realistic portraiture. He soon began combining elements of multiple schools of interpretation. His proficiency in each medium allows his art to switch effortlessly back and forth before multiple mediums and combines for a completely unique finished product. The strength of Ferjo’s metaphysical art is that his work is so realistic that his manipulation of perspective and dimension becomes believably for the viewer. Ferjo was strongly influenced by Surrealist master Salvador Dali. He also often uses vibrant, exaggerated colors.
Ferjo is routine praised by contemporary peers and art critics for his technical mastery. His extraordinarily life-like rendering of his surrounding coupled with him ability to use his imagination to manipulate the known into unknown creates a type of magic in his art. Ferjo is considered the most famous living surrealist, and he is best known for his metaphysical art. His art combines influences from many art disciplines including Cubism, Realism, Abstract Expressionism, and Surrealism.
In order to enrich his great understanding of art history, Ferjo has re-created the work of art masters throughout his career. He has painted portraits of Van Gogh, Chagall, and Picasso. He also has re-created works by Leonardo Da Vinci. Each master’s study incorporates Ferjo’s own unique interpretation to make the finished piece unique to the artist. This work was what first gained him fame in the art community as contemporaries began to see the artist’s immense skill.
Ferjo’s work is often rich with symbolism. His artwork incorporates elements of history and culture. His work is also frequently influenced by things he sees in dreams and hallucinations aiding in his artworks Surrealist components.
Biography by Katherina Perry Inc,
The day after Shannon's birthday we arrived in Dunedin during its annual Fringe Festival. In the crypt of the St Pauls Cathedral at Dunedin's Octogon – the center of town - we found this experimental installation. Seven small stalls (resonance chambers according to the artist, Karyn Taylor) were flooded with different light and sound frequencies, apparently meant to be aligned with the body's chakra system. Oh. My spontaneous critique was unusually loud and smelly. Or one of my chakras resonated with that yellow chamber - I'm really not sure which. And get a load of that cross-pattern tiled floor! Nuts.

Caught with 7th sense Camera. This is Very Dangerous if this Shaman's body is disturbed while his spirit is in a seperate realm the body would go into a sort of metaphysical shock. That''s all he told me, he said I could take one photo as long as there was no flash and I were to leave after I get the shot. So I did and this is it. When I took the photo I never actually saw the energy coming from his eyes only after did that show up. I've had video of glowing spheres acting the same way, You can't see the light in person but the camera's seem to pick it up?
Merlinite is a naturally occurring combination of Quartz (silicon dioxide) and Psilomelane (manganese oxide).
Some Merlinite occurs in massive form, with mixed areas of white Quartz and black Psilomelane. Other specimens appear as dark grey or black botryoidal forms coated with sparkling druzy Quartz crystal. The name Merlinite is not a mineral term but was coined by metaphysical users as a word alluding to its energies. The only known source of Merlinite is in New Mexico, USA.
Merlinite is considered to be a very spiritual/magical stone and is believed to hold the imprint of the combined knowledge of shamans, alchemist, magician-priests, and other workers of magic. It is said to be a powerful ally for shamanic work, magical practices and healing.

A spiritual memoir by a Russian woman and psychiatrist in Siberia. Compelling because of Russian psychiatric hospital setting and the combination of modern psychiatry being given a boost by teachings from a shaman during mystical visit to Siberian village that is said to be source of many religions and the origin of Shambala. Reads like a novel. Well written enough to make it palatable while offering healing wisdom. Allowed me to trust intuitive wisdom when working with clients. I came across it at bookstore at Esalen then bought it online before realizing it was available at library. Not always the case with esoteric books, but this one is by a mainstream publisher.
