I spent waaaaay too much time today trying to make a creative photo out of a potato on my couch. This doesn't light me up either but I'm done for the day.

Madurai Naickker Mahal. This is seen in many film song sequences (Bombay's Kannalane). It is in shambles.

I saw this pair of swim fins on the motorcycle seat and would have loved to see the motorcyclist operating (or attempting to operate) his motorcycle with them on. Visions of Charlie Chaplin or Buster Keaton.

Seen near the supermarkets at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains.

The astute viewer will look past the calm and static emblem of the USA, pretty though it is, to the menace of the encroaching maple tree, emblem of Canada, attacking from above.

On the Greek coast

On the 1783 foot summit of Mount Tibidabo, overlooking Barcelona, best reached by taking a funicular, is the Temple de Sagrat Cor, a modern church designed by Enric Sagnier in the early 20th Century. It is a curious mixture of Modernist and neo-Gothic styles and was designed to rival Sacre Coeur atop Paris's Montmartre district. The amusement park at its foot is an interesting counterpoint.

This is the painting I created outside at the Courtyard Theater in Plano, TX. I was invited to paint outside to draw attention to the PAA exhibit inside. This was on Saturday10th October, to coincide with the Plano International Festival.

 

So, chilly though it was, I got to listen to amazing music and watch performances from around the world as I painted!
