This week 7 July - 13 July our theme is:

~~~~~ FACES ~~~~~
We had a night photography party tonight at the park across from my house. Boy, was it fun. And I had great models, because one of the participants brought his wife and kids, and they were up for anything.
This is another version of the same "cherries metaphor for family from Argenteuil taken ten years ago, after my family life was destroyed, and I become, the second time, an "ex".
From my garden, arranged to show how different families can be or people can live. All alone. Now, alone. In happy couple. Couple with kid. One gone. Or a family where one does poison all the others life.
Cherries from the tree in the garden. They are like us, as I have seen them suddenly: some alone, some in couple. Some separated, some ill and in a difficult life because one of it is roting and so near hem. I was each of them in turn, in familly, together, in three and four, then separated and sad, now alone, as the red in front and happy even like that again.
Ces cerises de 2004, prises de cherisier de notre jardin et mangé après la session photo, me parlait et me parle toujours de la vie. (Cherries from my garden representing for me social interaction and life)
Certains vivent seules très bien, d'autre heureux en couple, encore d'autre ont déjà un gosses. L'un est tout seul depuis pas beaucoup de temps, comme j'étais moi, il y a deux ans. Et encore d'autres vivant tout près en famille se voient leurs vie pourris par un d'entre eux.
Ever since we crawled out of that primordial slime, that's been our unifying cry, "More light." Sunlight. Torchlight. Candlelight. Neon, incandescent lights that banish the darkness from our caves to illuminate our roads, the insides of our refrigerators. Big floods for the night games at Soldier's Field. Little tiny flashlights for those books we read under the covers when we're supposed to be asleep. Light is more than watts and footcandles. Light is metaphor. Light is knowledge, light is life, light is light. ~Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider
People think that guys are made of stone.
We’re all human with feelings, everyone isn’t perfect , it doesn’t mean you insult them or make assumptions especially to a stranger, you have no clue that persons mind set or what they’re going through at the time and how those words can escalate things or effect them .
Rule of thumb if you wouldn’t like it said to you don’t say it to someone else just because you’re protected by a computer screen.
The vine is a living metaphor that seeks to remind us of the passage of time.
God spoke: “Separate!
Water-beneath-Heaven, gather into one place; Land, appear!”
And there it was.
God named the land Earth. He named the pooled water Ocean.
Human speech is like a cracked kettle on which we tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt the stars. – Gustave Flaubert
Feel free to read whatever meaning you want into it.
What I was going for was a simple metaphor for "juggling" ideas in your mind.
This was taken back in undergrad for a project. I wasn't very experienced then so the quality is lacking and my camera was basically a point-and-click.
oh, and actual juggling partner for her... is me : )
HMM everyone & have a great week too!!
I shot this for the Macro Mondays group theme of Metaphors: 14/02/2011.
This week's Macro Monday theme was definitely a bit of a challenge! Plus, as well as the theme, I wanted to shoot something that would also be appropriate for Valentine's Day!
After many long hours of head scratching, I was getting nowhere, and was starting to get really frustrated.
It was then that I scolded myself! Why should I be getting frustrated? The challenge was only supposed to be a bit of fun! Then it came to me...
It's only supposed to be a bit of Light Hearted fun! :)
That would be my image. A heart made of light.
All I had to do then was put the image together using a laser pointer and a long exposure! It took about 30 attempts to get a result I was happy with, as the area I was painting the light onto was so small - as the shot I was after had to be a macro!
Anyway, whilst not the most exciting image in the world, I'm quite happy with the results, and I think I've achieved my two objectives!
