My 1/6 scale Soom Mini-Gem Uyoo ball-jointed doll is modeling a dress that I knitted myself using Barbie’s Basic Tube Dress knitting pattern that I downloaded for free. I had to make some slight modifications to the pattern in order to fit my Soom Mini-Gem Uyoo doll. (The Soom Mini-Gems tend to be slightly taller and thinner than Barbie.) This was the result of my first attempt at knitting a doll-sized outfit. I called it "Sparkling Blue" because I used a special kind of yarn that was a mix of various shades of blue (ranging from navy blue to pastel blue) and was interwoven with silver metallic thread.

I used the end pieces from the Skinner blend cane to make the mirror image and then added the gold thread.
"Winter Stitches" is a cross stitch kit from Kreinik. I designed the project and stitched the model in one evening. Four designs are available. I love these pens! Makes a great gift. Pen uses standard Parkerâ„¢ pen refills. Stitched with Kreinik metallic threads on perforated paper.

Hand knitted and crocheted with a crocheted flower pin. Soft wool yarn in lacy knitting and ruffled crochet. This is the second wrap I've made inspired by one of my favorite activities - a walk in the park.

Merino felted into a base of knitted mohair and metallic thread resulting in a beautifully soft and warm felt shawl, a traditional Irish shape with a 21st century update!
