"The people of Lovelock have one of the nation's only round courthouses. Pershing County officials approached Frederick J. DeLongchamps, by then the architect of six Nevada courthouses, and asked for a design that would be low in price but distinctive in appearance. As a solution, DeLongchamps designed a round courthouse, patterning it after Thomas Jefferson's library on the University of Virginia campus. The circle-over-hexagon design includes a circular interior hallway and a round courtroom decorated with Corinthian pilasters. A broad, sweeping concrete staircase leads to the main floor of the Beaux-Arts classical structure. Its entrance includes a pedimented portico supported by six Ionic columns. Doric pilasters separate the main story windows. Cream-colored brick and terra-cotta finish the exterior. A shallow dome crowns the roof and provides the courtroom with a dramatic, soaring ceiling." Where's Waldo? Can you spot the guy with a metal detector?

The Pro Pointer AT is used to assist in quickly finding targets once they have been detected by a larger metal detector.

#FF @MeteoriteMen

Here is the timeline of my brainstorming, design ideas & painting.

* MeteoriteMen LOGO in WIDMANSTÄTTEN STRUCTURE

* the PROFILES of Geoff & Steve holding their METALDETECTORS

(one in GUITAR style because MeteoriteMen ROCK)

* standing on a MAGNET

* surfing on a METEOROID

* from SPACE down to EARTH

* crossing the MOON ...

* even including some "stars" named LEO and DRAGON (AKA #PinkLittleDragon)

as both of them are big fans of this show :-)

Now let's wait and see what time will bring…

My 1st ever Class Ring, found January 4th, 2017 in Rural Jones County. It was also my 1st ever ring that was not costume jewelry and my 1st ever real gold item, so to say I was ecstatic would be an understatement. This ring was actually found in an area I know I have been over 10+ times in the last year or so, it had also been covered by a couple of friends of mine, and I have been told by different locals that others have hunted this property over the years, but I guess this ring just wasn't ready to be found. At the time of this posting the owner of this ring has been found and stated that it was lost by her boyfriend about 35 years ago. I will be returning the ring and hopefully posting pics and a video of that event.

The name on the ring is Tina and the school was South Jones High School class of 1983, it was made by Artcarved and is 10kt gold.

THis couple cracked me up - he'd locate stuff with the medal detector and them have his wife dig for whatever it was.

A wet and windy afternoon, we popped to the seafront to see if I could get some shots from my category list. I spotted the fella with his metal detector and thought "he'll be lucky" but he no doubt hoped he would find something valuable.... it went off, he dug a bit and then he moved on... well he can dream :-)
