This is my first gold ring find metal detecting. It's stamped 10K. The heart charm is costume jewelry. There's a 1968 penny, the rest is clad.

Here are some more picture of my find while metal detecting. The video will tell you the story, but the quality is poor, so maybe the pictures here can give you a better idea what I found in the woods.
Picking up all of these coins in an area that was about 4ft by 5ft most under leaves and sticks, but some were in the ground too, took over two hours. Filling in my pockets, using plastic bags, a towel anything I could find to carry these.

GMDC held a rally on undetected land near Hawkesbury Upton on the border of Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire. One digger found a gold Edward II coin, and the land proved very productive.

Metal detecting find. Looks like a school pin with the motto "Deed, not words" in Latin. Found in Granite Bay, California.
Anyone know where this is from? Someone suggested a woman's suffrage movement. There are letters in the bottom boxes. L A K C reading across, or L K A C reading up, down.

High Strangeness! LEVEL 1. Got to this park and my pin-pointer won't shut off. I had to take the battery out to stop it. Retried: Still won't turn off. Used a cheaper back-up pin-pointer. That one wouldn't turn off either!?? Low battery? Underground power line?
LEVEL 2. Recently read a story of a woman who claimed contact with aliens, and everywhere she goes lights turn on and off, fuses blow. Started reading about that and had a "dream" of my own contact. Could they be trying to contact me?
LEVEL 3. Found 4 Chucky Cheeze tokens, and suddenly I get a hankering for Chucky Cheeze pizza! Coincidence? I don't think so!

Took the kiddos out metal detecting for the first time this season. Ground is still a bit frozen, but we still had a blast. Found a couple coins and lots of buried junk. Better luck next time.
Found A nickel and a monopoly house at the beach on day #2.These findings took 1 1/2 hours and almost drove me bonkers. You know when you're just not feeling it? I should have quit after 15 mins and just called it a night... but then again, I only get to go metal detecting once a year these days :(

I happened upon Colin heading off to do some metal detecting by chance while photographing for the local newspaper on Sunday. He kindly sat on this low bridge in the Lincolnshire countryside and let me take his photograph.

My Dads hobby was metal detecting, this photo was taken just after he found this 18 K gold and platinum wedding band in the ocean.
He once found a Philadelphia 76 championship ring in the water - Hollywood Florida. He gave it back to the owner who happened to be one of the secretary's at the time for the team. The ring had been in the water for 5 years.

Meet my stranger, unfortunately I didn't get his name, as he wanted to keep metal detecting as I took his photograph. Never had to take a portrait of a moving person before lol... not that I have taken many.
He was happy on the beach whilst his daughter and granddaughter went shopping. He had only found a few coins, but his biggest find was a few Roman coins in a field, a few years ago.

Beach Comber, Treasure Hunter, whatever term you prefer, this gentleman was on a serious hunt was well equipped and clothed for the cold north east winds. The Haven in Tynemouth is not frequented much by the general public so any treasure he may find will not be much, but he spent a good 2 hours sweeping the beach with the tide out with his metal detector.
