A hand written message on the back of a postcard of McColloch's Leap reads, "Leaving Wheeling for Pittsburg -- some hills and coal and oil wells ahead."
Postcard caption: McCOLLOCH'S LEAP: At the top of Wheeling Hill on the National Highway is this monument in honor to Samuel McColloch who, in September 1777 during an assault on Fort Henry, escaped from the Indians by leaping from this point of the hill side into the creek far below, hence the monument to his memory.

The Message is a radical version of the Bible in modern language. I would not want this as my only Bible but it makes one look at the meaning afresh and I value it as one of the versions I use. I bought this copy at the Haywards Heath Christian Book Centre on Friday 10 October 2003.

Every couple of weeks in the fall city waste management picks up raked leaves at the curb as long as they are in biodegradable paper bags. They are destined to become compost. Today is pickup day.
This message, taped to a curbside bag caught my attention. After puzzling over this curiosity, I decided to take a photo and think about it later. Still confused, I now share it with you. Is Pedro a person? Is he a dog? Is communicating via a sign on a leaf bag a method of limiting exposure during the pandemic? Whatever the case, I hope Pedro gets better.
Texting refers to the sending of a typed message on a phone from a sender to a receiver. Texting is one of the most popular forms of communication today for its easy and quick message transmission.

I will get over my troubles from this week. i am going to miss the Fuzz like crazy as there is no cat like him. But in time the heart break will slowly go away. i will always love that cat and will have a place in my heart.
This door is fascinating in the variety of scrawled notations. The one that literally cracked me up upon reading is "We guarantee fast service. No matter how long it takes." There's also a 1972 flood line, a message to Bin Ladin (sic), strike talk, and more.

Gathering of the minds to convey a message to the public. The photo was taken on the 16th of November in front of the clock tower, Kandy.

Taken Near the giant Buddha figure at Saraksan National Park in Gyungi-do, South Korea. For around $10 visitors can write their messages on these tiles which will be used any new building or done for the temples.
Zakarya, un réfugié syrien de 22 ans, lit un message de ses amis restés en Syrie, l'informant que son village a été bombardé. Zakarya s'est réfugié à Bar Elias, une petite localité au sud de Zahle, dans la plaine de la Beeka, à l'est du Liban, quelques mois après avoir été blessé à la jambe lors d'une manifestation, le 25 mars 2011, à Daraa, au sud de la Syrie. Il vit depuis avec Montha, une libanaise octogénaire, qui le loge gratuitement, ainsi que son frère, sa tante, son mari et leurs quatre enfants. Conséquence de sa blessure, Zakarya était paralysé du pied gauche. Il a pu bénéficié d'une orthèse et soins de kinésithérapie fournis par Handicap International ; il peut désormais de nouveau marcher et vivre une vie presque normal dans sa famille d'adoption.
Zakarya, a 22 years old syrian refugees, is reading a message from his friends who stayed in Syria, informing hil that his village has been bombarded. Zakarya fled Syria and took refuge in Bar Elias, a small village situated South of Zahlé, in the Beeka valley, in the eastern part of Lebanon, a few months after he was wounded in the leg during a demonstration, on March 25th, 2011, in Daraa. He now lives with Montha, a 80 years old Lebanese woman, who accommodates him free of charge, as well as his brother, his aunt, her husband and their four children. Due to his wound, Zakarya's left foot was paralyzed. Handicap International provided him an orthesis and physiotherapy sessions. He can now walk again and live an almost normal life in his family of adoption.

These boxes hung 6 storeys through the middle of the MegaBox mall. You can text a phone number and your message scrolls up through the boxes (the benefits of a vertically written language, I guess).
Apparently, most of them said things like "I love you" and "Happy Birthday".

Sadly no message or details of location on the reverse. The cap badge is a fleur-de-lys above a scroll. The shoulder title appears on the soldier on the far left as a straight block and is unclear but could apply to a number of regiments - Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry (RWY), Welsh Denbighshire Hussars Imperial Yeomanry (DHIY), or the 3rd Royal Dragoon Guards (3DG).
