So, a while back, the kidlet came home for a visit. She usually arrives by bus but we drive her back home, if only to have the opportunity to spend an extra few hours with her. (And to bring along stuff too big for her to transport.) Sometimes we'll squeeze in a quick meal with her before we head straight back home.
So this time, when we got home I found her message on the kitchen chalkboard...
I might never clean it again....
She has visited since, but the chalkboard has not changed. I just finally got around to framing it.
And, while I love the sentiment behind the image and I think the image itself is cute, I once again, have no clue why this would make EXPLORE.

Hi everyone,
It’s been a while… and I felt it’s finally time to share why I’ve been so quiet here the past couple of months.
Life took an unexpected turn lately — starting with a knee injury that sadly can’t be fixed with surgery. That means no more jogging for me, which hit me hard, especially since I was in the middle of my weight reduction journey. Thankfully, I’ve found a new passion in mountain biking — a sport that gives me the movement and freedom I was missing.
But the real reason for my silence is much deeper and more personal.
Some of you already know — I’m a single parent to the most amazing and talented boy. He’s autistic, and while he brings endless joy, navigating daily life, school, and support systems has become incredibly challenging. In the past few months, we’ve faced rejection from over ten schools. Even a private school turned us away just last Friday. It’s heartbreaking — especially here in Switzerland, where I truly hoped things would be different.
Balancing this with a high-pressure job and constant challenges there too has left little room for anything else. Honestly, I’ve been exhausted — emotionally and mentally. But I haven’t given up. I’m still standing. Still fighting for my son. For our future.
I’m grateful to those who checked in and supported us quietly in the background. And I’m thankful for Anastasia, who’s helping me slowly find balance again.
I’ll be back soon. Just needed to pause. To breathe. To hold space for what matters most right now.

One of Lileigh Grace's favorite things is to play with her mother's cell phone...or mine...to say she cut teeth with a cell phone would be a true statement indeed...it is also a favorite teether at the moment...and it must work, as she has her first tooth! I think she was checking to see if Yaara was listed yet, so they could make plans to meet up!!
She is such a social butterfly!
