What more can I say? A picture is worth a thousand words.
Today was nice... my favorite day of the week, and absolutely gorgeous outside. Plus, lots of study, and taking this picture made for pleasant thoughts.

Bench 'out of use' sign at the very quiet Halesworth railway station, Suffolk. In fact none of the benches were to be 'used' even though hardly any passengers transit through here.

If you zoom into this photo, you can see a few petroglyphs faintly carved on the surface boulder that was reportedly relocated from Vargas Plateau. In front of it are a few rocks with grinding mortars. They are located at the Ohlone cemetery fenced off restricted from public access. These petroglyphs are referred as Western Message Petroglyphs. According to some academic studies, they are most likely influenced by the European pioneers. Here is one of the article describing these glyphs: www.utahrockart2.org/pubs/proceedings/papers/36-02-Hilbis...
Can you see them?

A rather macabre message on a National Refining Company "boy with slate" label that advertised En-Ar-Co Motor Oils and White Rose Gasoline.
The Boy Holding a Slate was evidently a popular advertising figure for the National Refining Company.
At the lake side of Lake Como this loving message from Ale reads "We will go forward and we will do it together"
3/31 Photo a Day for October - Old Street, seen this before and did it very differently last time as it was wet. Had to wait for the guy to walk across and then nearly missed the shot as was playing with the settings on the 70d!
"Just a castaway, an island lost at sea, oh
Another lonely day, with no one here but me, oh
More loneliness than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair, oh
I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world
I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle, yeah
Message in a bottle, yeah
A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life but
Love can break your heart
I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world
I’ll send an s.o.s. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle, yeah
Message in a bottle, yeah
Message in a bottle, yeah
Message in a bottle, yeah"

So many questions: Will she see this before it washes away? Will she know who left this note? Was it a secret admirer? Will this make her smile...or will her heart sink?
