Memory Box - Darla Butterfly Die

Simon Says Stamp - Flower Friend Stamp Set

Just a light-hearted card appropriate for Valentine's Day, anniversary, wedding, engagement, or just in appreciation of your special sweetie! See supplies and instructions.

For this friendship card, I wanted to use a cool new set of stamps and dies that coordinate together from Simon Says Stamp. The set is called Apothecary Labels SetAL4 and it includes the Simon Says Stamp SSS06125 Apothecary Labels stamp set and S114 dies made by Memory Box for Simon Says Stamp.

I took a piece of cream cardstock and die cut it with the circular die from the set. Then I applied Tea Dye and Broken China Distress Inks using a sponge dauber. I used painters tape to mask the top and bottom sections of the stamp and inked the middle with Tsukineko Memento dye ink in Bahama Blue, and then removed the tape and inked the rest in Potters Clay, and stamped it.

The card base is made from dark chocolate brown cardstock. The background piece is plain white cardstock. I used a mixture of Broken China, Shabby Shutters, and Scattered Straw Distress Inks, applied directly to a non-stick craft sheet and then spritzed with water to create the background. Then I stamped Hero Arts S5037 DesignBlock Tree on top using Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

I adhered the sentiment circle with foam squares for dimension. Baker's twine from My Mind's Eye. Hero Arts turquoise gemstones.

Thanks for looking! :-)

A colleague at work had an operation this week and I was asked to make a card for her. This is CASE'd from a card of Virginia's ( Here) I recently bought some Memory Box dies and this flower die was one of them. I coloured with Copics Glitz, The banner is a Simon Says Stamp die and stamp set.

My niece loves sharks and "Shark Week", so I thought this would be appropriate for her. I inked the panel by "smooshing" and dragging it through ink spritzed with water. I die cut the word "happy" three times and stacked it. The seaweed was die cut, but the coral was stamped using a berry stem from W&W. It looks black in this photo, but it's red IRL. TFL!
