I created the background for this card using Brusho powdered watercolors. I then punched out the stars using a Memory Box die. I backed it with white paper and added micro glitter to the stars. The girl and cat were stamped onto Bristol paper, watercolored, then fussy cut. The dress is fussy cut from scrapbook paper.

Inside the box. The whorish buttons you can see on top are NOT a good indicator as to what kind of kid I was.

I was definitely trouble, and I got into all kinds of shenanigans, but I was never very slutty.

But I wasn't a prude either; there just aren't very many people on this planet impressive enough to get into my pants.

Endings

I made this memory box for my Mom when she started to show signs of dementia around 2005. The local Bernina Store was selling make your own box kits. I used some fancy tissue paper to decoupage the inside of the box and I used Day of the Dead fabric on the outside of the box.

The box is filled with cards and letters and all kinds of mementos. We would sit with Mom and show her what is in the box. The picture is her High School Graduation picture. I couldn't find the same rub-on letters I used for her name and DOB, so I added her DOD in Photoshop.

Dementia takes your loved ones away before their physical body leaves you. Mom turned 90 and decided that she was going to join Daddy so she stopped eating and drinking. She must have know that we were already in Massachusetts, so she saved us a rushed trip up north. My Dad always said that you have two friends, your Mother and your Wallet. How true.

stinky fish store that sold dried goods (like dried out fish biltong a.k.a bokkoms)

I ended up giving up on the chorus and asking my music partner Allison to help me. I love the chorus she came up with SO much more!

This photo was taken during the purge of my big pile of Memory Boxes accumulated over the years, starting from childhood.
