Memory Lapses are temporary installations I photograph to revisit places linked to strong memories, past or recent.
By overexposing reflective material in the process, data becomes absent from the digital file, creating an empty zone in the image that alters reality and distorts our perception : like time and distance do.
Aurora, CO --- The pieces in an antique store have so many memories and stories attached to them. Future owners of these treasures will probably never truly know how memorable these items were to their previous owners.
It seems to have been so grey recently, I thought I'd upload an image from my recent holiday in the Lake District. It's hard to believe that less than a month ago I was photographing butterflies in the gardens of Muncaster Castle in glorious sunshine. This one's for anyone who needs a little injection of colour in their day. :)
I have siginificantly reduced the amount of rail replacement work I have performed during 2017 and intend to reduce it further in the coming year. Mind you, that could be difficult if Mortons continue to tempt me with beasts like G611 BPH, the remodelled Volvo Citybus East Lancs supplied new to London & Country in a distant past and seen here at Havant on 3rd December, 2017.
My booth display during Singapore Doll Carnival 2013 on 10 Nov. This is a joint effort between me and Jo_sen7 (Joey)
Hoje eu decidi arrumar as fotos antigas na parede do meu quarto, pra mudar um pouco a decoração e também, porque eu AMO fotos da minha infância *-*
This area is the most westerly point in Jutland. It was the main point during WW2 where the Germans expecting the British to invade. The Danish were made to build these bunkers for the Germans. The area is used today as a training ground for the Danish Army.
Used a bit of everything here. A coffeeshop action - and two texture layers by les brumes.
Shot on a very rainy day on Islay.
That face in the sand is one so familiar
And though the waves may wash it away, engraved in my heart it is...

This is a well used easel, homemade and soon to go to children who hopefully will love it as much as my son did. The first time my son painted there was more paint on him than on the paper. It was so difficult to take a picture of him because I was shaking with laughter. He had insisted that the brush, which was full of paint, should be the handle. Try as I did to change that, he was adamant. Perhaps he just needed a finer tipped brush, perhaps he liked the oooozy tactile feel of the paint. It was very endearing and a memory I hope will never fade.
One of those special memories, on top of being 80 plus year old ! I grew up with the corvette, remembering the 1969 verses 1968. or even what was different ! colors, lines here and there chrome , side pipes removable roof panels1,2, piece, small block / big block ! wheel size and width, best of all the mind works and what an experience, as for resemblance differences ! standard / automatic , as even compared, the new even are easier torahs and wax, a smile in every corner, and fun to be had, even car shows ! Enjoy the view ! 55 five years ago, BTW mine first 1971, still own ! now the Nikon D810 another story !
