This is an old fuzzy photo from the late 1990's of a backpacking trip in Georgian Bay, Bruce Trail area in Ontario. This is our dog Dingo keeping watch over us as we set up one of our camps in a very secluded location. She wore a bear bell the entire trip as bears were present and it was September when bears are trying to fatten up for winter hibernation. We had to haul our provisions up tall trees to try to keep contact with bears at a minimum. We had a few sightings but mostly saw fresh scat and had that feeling of being watched which is sometimes unnerving. Keeps you very alert and Dingo was a big help in keeping watch.

For those who might not know. Crocrocphoto passed away this past Sunday Aug 9, 2015. He had been battling CLL (Chronic lymphocytic leukemia) for a while now. it's been a while since we've had big blue skies. Today's forecast is for heavy rain possibly turning to sleet later . . .and my central heating system is making whining noises like it's about to break down . . .
Backup update: I bought a second external drive - 3 terabytes - just for my Pictures folder, which apart from all my photos, also holds the Lightroom catalogues, an absolutely essential part of the LR system.. So I will use the first external drive just for Time Machine backups of my MacBook Pro.
