Well, I went back through over 100 photos tonight and re-edited them! I thought I was done a couple days ago for December's LA Gallery show, but art is never done until it's done, and even then. . . Will be busy printing and framing in nice large, matted formats and frames and museum glass! Five of these photos will be printed on 40" x 60" floating wall mounted metal sheets! I think I know which--will share photos of the photos hanging on the walls!
The secret to HDR photography is that you want people to say, "Woe dude--that's unreal!" And not, "Dude--that's not real!" "Unreal" is the word they use when they're trying to figure out the photo--what makes it cool--is it a photo? Is it painted? How'd it come to be--how'd you bend the light that way? "That's not real," is what they say if you have the saturation/HDR/ etc. turned up too high. :)
Some (almost) final edits for December's Los Angeles Gallery Show! Printing them on metallic paper at 13" x 19" and mounting and framing them on a 4mm 18x24 white mat and 2" dark wood frame. Also printing some 40" x 70" whihc is over three feet by five feet! Wish you all could come (and hang out with the goddesses)!

Preparing for some gallery shows this fall to celebrate 100,000,000 views! Printing a few dozen photographs in ~ 30"x40" formats and mounting/framing. Here are some close-to-final edits. These were shot with Nikon's best D800 with the 14-24mm wide-angle Nikkor lens. 7 exposures were taken at 1 EV intervals, and combined in photomatix to bring out the shadows and highlights.

Then I spent all day today moving over 75 large photos into the gallery! Most of these are framed and matted with 13"x19" metallic prints and an 18"x24" mat and a 3" wood-grain black frame! They look awesome! Stop on by Bel Air Camera's Gallery downstairs if you are close to UCLA or in Westwood. Give me a head's up, and I will meet you there if I'm free.
I thought I was done a couple days ago for December's LA Gallery show, but art is never done until it's done, and even then. . . Will be busy printing and framing in nice large, matted formats and frames and museum glass! Five of these photos will be printed on 40" x 60" floating wall mounted metal sheets! I think I know which--will share photos of the photos hanging on the walls!
And I am mounting some on plexiglass/acryllic--front mounting them! Some I am printing on lossy fuji-crystal archival paper too, and then front mounting 40"x60" versions to plexiglass--will send photos!
The secret to HDR photography is that you want people to say, "Woe dude--that's unreal!" And not, "Dude--that's not real!" "Unreal" is the word they use when they're trying to figure out the photo--what makes it cool--is it a photo? Is it painted? How'd it come to be--how'd you bend the light that way? "That's not real," is what they say if you have the saturation/HDR/ etc. turned up too high. :)
Some (almost) final edits for December's Los Angeles Gallery Show! Printing them on metallic paper at 13" x 19" and mounting and framing them on a 4mm 18x24 white mat and 2" dark wood frame. Also printing some 40" x 70" whihc is over three feet by five feet! Wish you all could come (and hang out with the goddesses)!

VIVOTEK FD8161 is a professional-series fixed dome network camera featuring superb megapixel image quality and exceptional bandwidth efficiency. The FD8161 supports the latest in H.264 compression technology, drastically reducing file sizes by 90%. The cropping function removes unnecessary information and transmits only the designated image to optimize bandwidth and storage usage, and the ePTZ feature enables users to focus on close-up shots of different areas in the camera’s view without moving the camera physically. Together with multiple video streams which transmit individually configured video feeds simultaneously for viewing on different platforms, the FD8161 is able to meet a diverse set of needs and bandwidth constraints.
The camera also comes equipped with a removable IR-cut filter and IR illuminators (15 meters) to provide great clarity and contrast 24 hours a day. Other advanced features include a PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor, a 3-axis mechanism for flexible instal- lation, 802.3af PoE, SD/SDHC card slot, tamper detection, and SIP-enabled two-way audio. With the included ST7501 32-CH central management software, the FD8161 is the ultimate camera for demanding environments.

October 7, 2021: #sleep feels so good. I made my bed #today, after having washed the #sheets on Tuesday night. I was just too #exhausted to struggle with #pulling and #stretching the #matresscover and the #fittedsheet over the #matress itself and then stuffing the #duvet into the #duvetcover. So I did that today, after chasing the #dogs off of the #bed. It didn’t take too long. I had also washed the cover of my #weightedblanket , which is actually tied to the #blanket, so I had to tie the cover back onto the blanket and zip it back up. I think I’ll use it again tonight. It had been so hot that I didn’t use it for quite awhile but it’s cooler now at night now that fall is settling in. I love holding my Bianca Bear close. She stays in my arms right where I leave her before drifting to sleep, and she’s in the same spot when I wake up.
I shot this photo with my #iPhone controlling my @sony #Cybershot #ZV1 #vlogging and #streaming #camera. It’s a cousin to the #RX100 line but the video functions are beefed up a bit more. It shoots #RAW files at 20.1 #Megapixels and has the ability to #shoot and #stream beautiful 4K #video. I haven’t used it too much since I got it, mainly because I was in the hospital and then got sick with this #flu. But it’s been laying next to my bed for awhile so I figured it was time to give it a try.
I have an online class in a bit. It’s a class I registered late for, so I missed the first session. And then I missed the next two because I landed in the #hospital. I’m #apprehensive about attending. Anxious even. I feel embarrassed for how I’ve been absent. I feel myself slipping yet again, as I’ve done every term since spring 2020.
Then, following class I have a spiritual consciousness speed dating event, which I signed on for weeks ago, before my episode in September and before the last event where I again struck out with no mutual matches. I feel like crap, but I’ll go to at least half of it. I think I can do that. Wish me luck.
