I really enjoyed meeting Alex in Athens last Thursday.... so much so that I forgot to take any proper pictures of her!! Only two of her holding up her camera at me. So here's one of those to mark the occasion.

On the other hand, I love the one she took of me www.flickr.com/photos/79073990@N00/4532518134/ .... thanks, Alex x

Funny story how I met this man...was at Muddy's just hanging out listening to music and working on my inventory and left to do a collaboration with my friend Mac. Received an email from Adam saying he was about to talk to me and I poofed. So we ended up meeting later that day for a dance at Muddys ;)

today i'm in the mood for posting this friendly guy :-)

At the east end of Rocky, UP's eastbound Grand Junction to North Yard manifest holds in the siding to meet the daily westbound Zephyr. Note the Rocky spur off to the left toward the top of the image. The spur breaks away from the main a few thousand feet to the west, and climbs an 8% grade to rapidly gain elevation up the hill.

The Cumbres & Toltec operates excursions each morning from each end of the railroad at Chama and Antonito, with the trains meeting for a lunch stop at Osier.

The Meeting Creek railway station was built by the Canadian Northern Railway in 1913 to its standard third-class station plan. Today it represents one of the few remaining examples of this design, and is unique in Alberta, being preserved on its original site with both a portion of the original railway together with a classic prairie grain elevator. The station has been wonderfully preserved and houses photographs and artifacts pertaining to life in the prairie railway depot.
