From one of the first B&W rolls in the Pentacon 6x6.
It's still interesting to me to take the same shot with digital and film and compare the differences. This one is by far more interesting and is much closer to what I wanted when I shot both.

Im testing out a budget film stock called ultrafine xtreme, 100 ISO, the name suits it well because the grain might be finer than acros, like a powder. it behaves differently though, more contrasty and easy to clip the blacks. most of the roll came out a bit overexposed, this was the best, not sure if thats user error or if the film is more sensitive than the usual 100 ISO.

This is all four of the medium format cameras with Nikkor lenses. With the Plaubel Makina aquired a couple of days ago, the collection is finally what I aimed for.
From left to right:
- Bronica S2A w/ Nikkor-P·C f=75mm 1:2.8
- Aires Automat w/ Nikkor-Q·C f=7.5cm 1:3.5
- Marshal Press w/ Nikkor-Q f=105mm 1:3.5
- Plaubel Makina 67 w/ Nikkor 1:2.8/80
Actually, there are a few other Nikkor-equipped medium format cameras. Of course, there's the rare Nikon medium format fisheye camera for meteorological use, and also there is at least one brand of TLR different than Aires that also sports Nikkor lenses. But my collection is at least a representation of the different medium format cameras with Nikkor lenses that were in serial production.

This is my second of a continuing "one roll shoot" sessions. I find a model, and I shoot one roll of black and white film. No big productions, no crew, just get out and shoot. I've got 36-ish shots to get something good.
In this case, I decided to shoot medium format, and since the Mamiya 645AF only gives me 16 frames per roll of 120, I shot two rolls (32 frames). Which is close to what I'd have gotten with 35mm and one roll. Hey I make the rules, I can do whatever I want.
This is Ilford XP5.

These medium format film cameras both take 120 film and produce the very popular 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch negative. On the left is an Agfa Isolette folding camera of a type popularized by Voightlander and Zeiss Ikon. While rendering a very high quality image five times larger than the 35mm negative, these cameras, when folded, were even more compact than the 35mm of their day. The twin-lens Rolleiflex on the right hardly needs description as it dominated both professional and amateur photography for so many years. In those days, no country in the world could challenge the quality of the Zeiss lenses produced by secret formula in Germany.
The result of my experiment with medium format, Fujichrome Velvia and snow! very difficult to scan a Velvia slide - this one went back to scanner 3 times - still managed to reproduce only about 70% of attributes. I folded shop and sold off the Mamiya after this - cant afford the workflow. I had planned this shot from my previous trips waiting for the hut in front to glow golden yellow! Spot metered from the hut

Nicole and I had a wedding 2 Days after Christmas this year... I thought it was a strange time.... There was a beautiful sunset at the Church and I had to play with my new Medium Format Camera that Nicole got me for Christmas (thanks Honey!) The Night got even more interesting when we ended up back at the hospital but for her Dad this time...
I actually shot TWO engagement sessions for this couple (it's a long story....). This is from the first session. I have them in front of a former fire station, posing in the way the best expresses each of their personalities.

Yes, Portra 800. I never use this film, but it was overcast and I knew I'd need some extra ISO 'mileage'. Turned out very nice.
