I went for a walk two weeks ago on the C and O canal at Seven Locks on the DC/Maryland border. This was taken with the Rollei mini digi toy camera of the Lock mechanism which is no longer functioning.
On Tuesday night the G77 (developing countries) & China walked out of the Loss & Damage negotiations, the text did not address the needs of vulnerable countries. Australia and Canada are blocking everything.
The Youth have stood behind developing countries’ red lines on the issue of loss and damage since last year in Doha. We believe that a mechanism on Loss and Damage is necessary to a fair and climate just world. Addressing Loss and Damage in developing countries is part of the obligations enumerated in the Convention. But, just addressing the issue is not enough. I recently assisted a resins workshop with Heidi Schwegler at the Oregon College of Art and Craft. Heidi is an amazing teacher and all of the students had a blast exploring techniques and materials, as well as mechanisms.
This is my newly-reupholstered 1883 DB Hartley Reclining Library Chair. The lever at the base of the nearer arm releases the reclining mechanism, so you can set whatever angle you want, and the foot rest slides out from under the seat and folds over to the position shown.
