It was a bright, sunny day when this shot was taken. In fact the light was too harsh and bright to get a decent image with my 'normal' camera, however that bright sunshine works so well when shooting in infra-red. I'm glad I had my IR camera with me that day - I took this image with my little Fujifilm X-A2 converted to 720nm infra-red, fitted with a lovely, sharp manual film lens - Minoltla MD Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5.

Very pleased with the outcome - Delicate, Simple and Serene.

After 10 years of running Arachtober together, and being Flickr friends for about 12 years (he's my contact number 5 from "ages ago", according to Flickr), I finally met jciv in person.

And we did what we do best.

Despite the rain, we made the best of it and still got loads of bug photos. It was an excellent day.
