A Catalina legend, and still an amazing runner, he was killing me on the uphills from 19-23. Back in the day, he was the king of descents, but with age comes wisdom. Enjoyed my few minutes talking with him. Bill has run all 33 Catalina Marathons, and has won 13 of them, incuding the first & the 20th. On on!

Ireland will be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 for the first time ever and will be doing so with a song in the Irish language. Not only will the panel of judges be looking for the best voice to represent Ireland, but also the best song. Each performer will be singing their own original Irish language song. Hosted by Eoghan McDermott, the panel of judges will include Eurovision Winner Niamh Kavanagh, singer-songwriter Brian Kennedy and Stiofán Ó Fearail from Seo Linn, the band behind the Coláiste Lurgan You Tube viral hits!

One Billion Rising - West Hollywood is part of the V-Day global movement to end violence against women and girls. The gathering occured at Sal Guarriello Memorial Park this morning, February 14 to RISE RELEASE DANCE! with featured speakers Jane Fonda & Dylan McDermott (son of Eve Ensler). Mayor Abbe Land via a city news release said, “I hope that you will join me … as we rise and dance for justice for the 1 billion women who are victims of violence and rape. Rise with us to show the world that West Hollywood respects the rights and dignity of every woman and girl to stand for justice.” Lindsey Horvath, Outreach Coordinator for V-Day/One Billion Rising provided the introductions. The event also featured a musical performance by Lili Hadyn with vocalist Durga McBroom-Hudson, and Flash Mob America lead the crowd in a performance of the official campaign dance, “Break the Chain,” choreographed by Debbie Allen.
Jane Fonda also attended WeHo’s One Billion Rising event in 2013, when she was joined by Anne Hathaway, Marisa Tomei and Frances Fisher.

After a long journey with this girl: sleeping in a tent at freezing cold temperatures, doing nonsensical things in an nonsensical state, waking up early, realizing we still had toes after all, laughing our pants off in rememberants of the nonsensical state, then finally breakfast and time well spent in the "NO PARKING ANY TIME" zone of the west chester parking garage. this girl is awesome :p
