I've seen Star Wars so many times that I don't really remember much about the first time, except that from that very first seemingly endless shot of the Star Destroyer flying over head, I knew I had never seen anything like it before. Happy Birthday Star Wars

Earth's Last Hope
Jedi Knights practice their light saber skills while two earthlings watch the sun set, unaware that the future of their planet hangs by a thread.
Update May 4, 2016: Replaced the original edit with a larger image and better copy.
It's Star Wars Day on the Death Star and everybody gets the day off Apart from Darth, who's on cleaning duties.

May the Fourth be with you! Who doesn't love golden hour?! And who doesn't love a pink flower/sea combo?! I'm definitely making the most of these flowers being in bloom! Took this one up Devil's Point tonight.
Lost in the desert canyons of Tatooine, looking for Obi-Wan, R2D2 makes a horrible discovery! He forgot his sunscreen and with that WHITE body, he's sure to fry!!!
At least he remembered his Mickey Mouse hat to protect his head.
View on black or I'll steal your sunscreen.

Happy Star Wars Day!
Two important days collide in the galaxy this weekend on May 4, 2024: The Running of the Kentucky Derby (150th, no less!) and "Star Wars Day"--May the 4th be with you. But, we now say,
May the Horse be with you.
Be sure to place your bets!

Artoo-Potatoo and Princess Tater...
"Help me, Obi-Wan Spudobi, you're my only hope!"
I admit, it was the mini "holographic" Princess Tater that made this a must-have for me... XD
Happy Star Wars Day! :D
The iconic lightsaber duel of Ben Kenobi and Darth Vader from the most iconic Star Wars movie, recreated in LEGO bricks.
My goal was to create a LEGO replica of this scene, based on a shot from the Blu-Ray version of Star Wars Episode IV. Thus, I tried to simulate the placement of items within the scene, plus the depth of field, the colors, the camera angle, and the aspect ratio.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars, I decided to use (mostly) retro minifigures, yellow skin tones, ion blasters, an old Millennium Falcon model, etc.
May the Fourth be with you!
Happy Star Wars Day. May the Fourth be with you.
Boba Fett is back again this year, and he's brought his bounty hunter associates along...
"No disintegrations."
But…… it’s kind of awkward when the, really ought to be overhauled, Millennial Falcon does not fit in the driveway.
I came across this scene while walking Dweezil this morning. What were the neighbors thinking when they bought that old clunker? I know it’s supposed to be user friendly and all…. (I’m really just jealous that I didn’t get to it first.)
Anyway…May the fourth.. err.. force be with all of us.
Well Hmm I think Minnie sees a little BB8 running around the Star Wars area at Disneyland - How cute is she :D
we took Star Wars related CINCO DE MAYO photos yesterday

"Why should I play this game of pretend?
Remembering through a secondhand sorrow?
Such a great son and wonderful friend
Oh, don't the tears just pour?
I could curl up and hide in my room
There in my bed, still sobbing tomorrow
I could give in to all of the gloom
But tell me, tell me what for
Why should I have a heavy heart?
Why should I start to break in pieces?
Why should I go and fall apart for you?
Why should I play the grieving girl and lie
Saying that I miss you
And that my world has gone dark without your light?
I will sing no requiem tonight"
I always wondered how did Leia feel when her father died? Yes, her brother told her he saw the good in him, but Darth Vader is still the man that tortured her to get information about Rebel base location, made her watch as her homeworld and her people with all her friends and family was annihilated, and frozed her boyfriend in carbonite.
That never was shown in the movie, but in the Expanded Universe (pre-Disney) Leia had a really hard time forgiving Vader for all the pain he bring to her, which is more than understandable. He was a monster to her, she doesn't have to forgive him!
When I listened a Broadway musical "Dear Evan Hansen", I thought that Zoe's song "Requiem" about her violent and drug addicted brother, who could easily storm to her room and threaten to kill her, fits for Leia almost perfectly.
Just imagine Leia singing Zoe's part, ghost of Obi-Wan singing Larry's part (like angry mentor instead of angry father) and Luke singing Cynthia's part (because Connor's mother was the only one family member who was grieving in the beginning of the song).
"I will sing no requiem
Tonight
'Cause when the villains fall, the kingdoms never weep
No one lights a candle to remember
No, no one mourns at all
When they lay them down to sleep
So, don't tell me that I didn't have it right
Don't tell me that it wasn't black and white
After all you put me through
Don't say it wasn't true
That you were not the monster
That I knew
'Cause I cannot play the grieving girl and lie
Saying that I miss you
And that my world has gone dark"
That is what supposed to be my May the Fourth picture, but I was busy and forgot to post it, sorry. :(
May the Fourth be with you!
