The vehicle in the background is a slightly modified original 1973 Matchbox truck with a custom bull bar and trailer. I got this toy car (a Ford LTS tanker from the Matchbox 'Super Kings' series) when I was a child; it was a gift from my beloved grandfather and it was the coolest truck I ever had ... and in some way it feels a bit like I'm perpetuate his memory within this photograph. So, once again, thank you very much, grandpa ... ;)

MAX YAMABIKO (Maxやまびこ号)
The MAX Yamabiko (やまびこ) is a high-speed Shinkansen train service operated on the Tōhoku Shinkansen between Tokyo and Morioka by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) in Japan.
The Tōhoku Shinkansen (東北新幹線) is a Japanese high-speed Shinkansen rail line, connecting Tokyo with Aomori in Aomori Prefecture in a route length of 674 km (419 miles), making it Japan's longest Shinkansen line. It runs through the more sparsely populated Tōhoku region of Japan's main island, Honshu, and is being extended as the Hokkaido Shinkansen to Shin-Hakodate (due to open in March 2016) and Sapporo by 2035. It has two Mini-shinkansen branch lines, the Yamagata Shinkansen and Akita Shinkansen. The line is operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Collected together from heaps of scrap and junk from Urban Furniture Perspective, Mad Max Prams were created through inspiration from the Mad Max films franchise. Originally built for the purpose of the Ferndown Pram Race to raise money for charity, the Mad Max Prams will now roam freely around Bournemouth in search of fuel and other road warriors, in the wasteland more commonly known as ‘The Gardens’.

Meet Max a relative new comer to the coffee crowd at D n D . His parents Jane and Andrew have joined the crew up there . Max is not a half good looking Sheltie ( Shetland Sheep dog ) , a slightly smaller version of the well known Collie and he is winning hearts everywhere he goes .

Max likes to get on top of the highest cupboard in the kitchen and watch what I’m doing. He’s quite happy to sit up there for a couple of hours if I’m busy. I just managed to capture this with my phone as he suddenly became aware of a pigeon on the bird-feeder.

Gisteren kregen we slecht bericht, Max had een agressieve ziekte, maar niemand had gedacht dat het zo vlug ging. Onze dierbare vriend hebben we los moeten laten.
Gestern haben wir schlechte Nachricht bekommen, Max hatte eine aggressive Krankheit, aber niemand dachte, dass es so schnell ging. Unser lieber Freund,haben wir gehen lassen müssen.
Yesterday we got bad message, Max had an aggressive disease, but no one had thought that it would go so quickly. We had to let our dear friend go.
I was pretty close to the max line to get this one and I think it pissed off the driver. 5 minutes later some Tri-met guy came over and asked me what I was doing. It was pretty obvious what I was doing (tripod, etc.). He then told me that they don't allow picture taking. I can understand that I was a little close, but I think he was making up his own laws here... I moved back right away but he insisted that I leave or he was going to call the police.

His real name was Max but he got called Poo-Dog more often. We had much fun together, and he taught me a lot.
A test portrait of my dog Max using the newly acquired vintage lens (Meyer Optik Gorlitz 50mm 1.8) - amazing quality for only a few pounds. Anyone experimenting I recommend these m42 mount lenses using a cheap m42 mount adaptor.
