Max spent a very enjoyable ten minutes rolling about on the carpet in the sunlight! We haven't seen much the last week or two!

Arriva North East Gemini 2DL 7626 - NK61 EBV crosses the iconic Tyne Bridge into Newcastle on route X12 from Middlesbrough. The bus has now transferred to Arriva Yorkshire and lost its MAX scheme in favour of the current standard livery.

So out and about looking for frames I drove along the road the other side of the bridge and saw a shot from the other side . However , when I walked back here from the town for one reason or another it did not gel , walk through to this side and here we are - a much better viewpoint . I did get a shot with a couple of people standing at the bridge but I was standing in the wrong place with the " max headroom bar bisecting the entrance to the bridge , move back and I hope it s looking better . I managed to count at least 8 frames and that is not counting all the mini-frames of the chain link fence .
( the A-frame signs of course are now gone as the work has been done now ) .

We got Max as a rescue dog. He had three previous homes. He was bred as a badger baiter but failed, thankfully, taken on by a family who starved him and then us. Dramatically my daughters went to see him when I was at work. A text to me said "I will die if daddy says no!" I said yes as he chose us. Since we got him he has been nothing but perfeck, the best family dog ever, carering, loving, funny, a long distance walker and a friend. He is getting older, 14 this March and looking very white. He has developed a limp, bad wind but still he loves his humans and his walks and his chews! He has been with the girls as long as they can remember and on holidays, days out and important experiences, as far as I am concerned the best dog anyone could want.....Max, or his full name, Maximilian Mackymoomoo

The vehicle in the background is a slightly modified original 1973 Matchbox truck with a custom bull bar and trailer. I got this toy car (a Ford LTS tanker from the Matchbox 'Super Kings' series) when I was a child; it was a gift from my beloved grandfather and it was the coolest truck I ever had ... and in some way it feels a bit like I'm perpetuate his memory within this photograph. So, once again, thank you very much, grandpa ... ;)

Max likes to get on top of the highest cupboard in the kitchen and watch what I’m doing. He’s quite happy to sit up there for a couple of hours if I’m busy. I just managed to capture this with my phone as he suddenly became aware of a pigeon on the bird-feeder.

Max was a rescued dog and comes from an abusive background. He has recovered nicely and although our first encounter was a little sketchy he quickly came around.
