All photos have been captured in a strongly overcast autumn day, with rainy conditions. After 1 hour of photographing, the rain just did not stop anymore so we had to stop. Those are the shots we cam up with during this spontaneous lifestyle shoot.

Yesterday, I photographed Louise, a female athlete from Stuttgart. On a regular basis, she practices road cycling, kayaking and running - many great sports that can be done outside.
Instead of photographing her on a road bike again, we came up with the idea of kayak photographs, as there are not many pictures of it, at least we could not find many professional photographs on the web. So we met at her boats club during one of the warmest days of November, to catch some last golden sun rays and autumnal leaves on the trees.

The church of the Catholic university community in Berrenrather Strasse, Cologne-Sülz, cannot be identified as such at first glance - there is no bell tower to identify it as a sacred building. It was built at the same time and in the same style as the surrounding buildings, late 1960's concrete style, in which the new Cologne University buildings nearby were constructed. However, the concrete is used in a different way, as a design material.

Recently, I was on assignment for the Silent Mountain Spa in the heart of the Black Forest in Germany.
Actually, those are the last photos ever taken. Jessica, the owner, reached out to me telling me the story of how she built and designed everything from scratch, how she opened her spa right before the pandemic started and how he had to give up her business now after two long lockdowns in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
Before the place would be torn down, she hired me to photograph it from the best angles to capture her business, in which she threw all savings, energy and love she could possibly give. Despite this sad story, she still wants to reopen a new spa again in the future, once the pandemic is over. Big kudos for her courage! I wish her all the best!

Volksbank Ludwigsburg officially opened its new central administration on October 4, 2000. The new building, which cost around 12 million marks, was built according to the plans of the Ludwigsburg architects Kerker, Müller + Braunbeck (KMB), who won the competition in 1997. They designed the house as a quiet four-storey building with a stringent grid facade facing Schwieberdinger Strasse. In order to guarantee an undisturbed working atmosphere, almost all offices were oriented to the east or west. The architects arranged the access corridors and the staircase system on the busy, noisy Schwieberdinger Strasse. These access areas serve as a kind of noise buffer and at the same time form the backbone of the house.

BIKE ON SCOTT
I have been planning to shoot those pictures for a month already. But then, the weather turned upside down and it was either completely overcast or pouring. Rarely, the sun won the fight against the clouds.
Yesterday, everything finally came together perfectly! I asked my fellow cyclist from Stuttgart to use the amazingly warm weather with temperatures of 22°C in November! That is just unbelievable! The warmest November ever, I guess.
So we met up and rode out together to the vineyards, where I had already scouted the shooting location, a while ago. I am so happy we used this last opportunity of a golden autumn. We had tons of fun, took pictures and enjoyed an amazing sunset.

The Fish sculpture by the architect Frank Gehry, who won the Pritzker Prize in 1989, has become one of the symbols of post-Olympic Barcelona and looks as if it is bobbing along on the waters of the Mediterranean. The sunlight is reflected in the scales of this sculpture that presides over the waterfront of the Olympic Marina and Barcelona's beaches.
In 1992, the pristine Olympic Barcelona was transforming its seafront. A new Olympic Marina was taking shape, presided over by its twin towers. On one side stood the Mapfre Tower; on the other was the Hotel Arts. Frank Gehry placed his fish sculpture at the foot of the hotel. The animal is 56 metres long and 35 metres high and seems to be longing to jump into the blue waters of the Mediterranean.
The sculpture was made from intertwining gilded stainless steel strips supported by a metal structure, its gentle, subtle form marked by its intense gold colour. The interplay between the rays of the sun and skin creates the impression of scales, depending on the intensity of the light, and accentuates the organic form of this vast sculpture. The Fish sculpture can be seen from Barceloneta Beach and the Olympic Marina, and has become one of the city's best-loved iconic landmarks.
I wanted to leave behind the Instagram shooting style and photograph sports fashion instead, a field I identify myself with strongly, as I go regularly climbing, bouldering and cycling, in combination with running, swimming and the gym. For this shoot, Eva came all the way from Nürnberg.

“A beautiful art garage” is the title of the Stuttgarter Zeitung's article about the two new buildings by Hartwig N. Schneider for the new “Unteres Remstal Art School” and “Galerie Stihl” in Waiblingen. Amber Sayah thus exactly meets the ambivalent impression that the two oval, around six meter high buildings made of industrial materials exude directly on the banks of the Rems, flanked by Waiblingen's old city wall: on the one hand, industrial buildings with raw materials, on the other hand, in their soft shapes and fine Details are poetic. Downhillers and mountain bikers can practice their sport on a legal route on the downhill track in Stuttgart. The Woodpecker Trail near Stuttgart-Degerloch overcomes a difference in altitude of 120 meters, has 27 different obstacles and is around one kilometer long. To commute from the bottom of the trail to the top, they can use the "Zacke".
The Zacke is an endearing feature of the state capital: If you take the “Zacke” from Marienplatz to Degerloch, you can get from A to B quickly and comfortably and can enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Stuttgart.
Since 1884, the cog railway has carried tourists and locals alike up and down the hill. The route is more than 2.2 kilometers long, and the “Zacke” has to overcome gradients of up to 17.8 percent in the Degerloch district, which is more than 200 meters higher.
In the past, the "Zacke" was primarily a means of transport for workers from the Filder towns who worked in the commercial establishments in downtown Stuttgart. The cog railway was also used by people to transport goods such as crops, milk or building materials. But that was a long time ago. Today, passengers transport bicycles instead - the "Zacke" has a special trailer for this purpose.
Incidentally, the “zacke” is a true rarity. There are only four rack railways left in Germany: the Zugspitzbahn, the Wendelsteinbahn, the Drachenfelsbahn and the "Zacke". This also makes it the only rack railway in Germany that runs in a city and is integrated into local public transport. According to the Stuttgarter Strassenbahnen AG (SSB), 2,500 to 3,000 passengers use the Zacke every day.
