Made for the 2013 MocOlympics over at Mocpages, where my category was to make a scene from Matrix: Reloaded.
The Moc takes place at the Chateau, where Neo fights off the Merovingian's men. While not the best movie, it has some amazing fight scenes.
And now for something completely different.
This final image consists of two separate seven exposure HDR's, vertically combined with photomerge.
Nobody can be told what the matrix is, you have to see it for yourself.

My take on the untold fourth instalment of The Matrix: Unplugged. A rather middle-aged chubby Neo escapes the Matrix only to find all that dripping computer code was actually Xmas light bokeh! Single shot with some light post-processing to smooth the background and give the little man some sunglasses.
Don't quote me on this -- just something I'm working on, trying to map some visual frameworks to the various lenses.
Comments off as no time to reciprocate but wanted to post something to keep things ticking over and say hi. I hope you are all well and I look forward to returning very soon. :-)
My son's 2nd car with a new state of the art radio installed.

Help I'm trapped in the matrix.
The shot
In front of a projection screen to have a perfect white background, I asked my daughter to take a photo of me wearing my painting mask.
After a couple of tries there was a good one.
Taken with the 60mm macro lens and the Canon 430EX II Strobe that was aimed at the ceiling.

For each pixel x,y :
x = Sin(x*3) * Cos(y*3)
y = Sin(y*3) * Cos(x*3)
Effect was applied at the centre of the image and scaled (.8 if I recall correctly).

What is the Real Matrix?
The underlying nature of reality is that Everything is Energy. It’s not a concept. It’s not a theory. It’s reality. We live in a multidimensional universe of holographic etheric fields — fields upon fields of subtle vibrational forces, particles, and strings. Matrix House is a distinctive building occupying one of the most prominent sites on Basing View business area, a few hundred metres from the Festival Place Shopping Centre and the mainline railway station, and approximately 2 km drive from junction 6 of the M3 Motorway. Current tenants include Sun Life Financial of Canada, Handelsbanken, Diligenta, CGI Group and TAC Europe.
The 475.76 sq m office space is arranged around an enclosed atrium facility, with two office blocks forming an L-shaped structure, where floors are connected by glass clad link bridges which overlook an atrium. The atrium itself incorporates the street area available for communal break out purposes, together with a restaurant, gymnasium, conference facilities and meeting rooms.
The office areas are principally open plan in design, but easily partitioned without compromising natural light or air-conditioning. On-site parking is provided in two decks of basement parking beneath the building and in a separate, two tiered car park adjacent.
It's not a sight expected to be seen in Basingstoke, but tropical fruits are being grown in the shared office. From dragon fruits to lemons, have become a regular sight in Matrix House. Known for its large indoor atrium greenhouse, the office features trees that have been growing since the late 1980s but now is home to various exotic fruits. Located on the fifth floor of the building are different fruit trees that have been growing for the last 10 to 13 years within the building and are used within the Atrium café and eaten by tenants.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. BBN is the random scatter of green in the middle (early ARPANET). Sprint is the organized star topology in purple near the top. AOL is a gray disconnected island in the lower center. There is little correlation between this network connectivity graph and physical geography, except for a clustering of Pac Rim connectivity.

This technique can also see the network “lights go out” during wartime bombing raids.
In a nutshell, they use a modified hacker trick of sending a storm of IP packets out randomly across the network. Each packet is programmed to self-destruct after a delay, and when this happens, the packet failure notice reports back the path the packet took before it died. To visualize this sea of data, Ches applied place & route software from the semiconductor CAD industry to untangle the hairball of data and spread it out in a 2D map that humans can easily absorb. In these maps, one can see security gaps and unknown network connections. (disclosure: we invested them when they spun out of Bell Labs)
