This shot is based on the scene where the camera zooms in on Neo who is captured by agents and locked in a small room for interrogation...
Day II - 2:09 pm
Financial district...
Buildings...
Cold facades...
Covered silences...
Dull energy...
The matrix is breathing...
The matrix is watching...
The matrix is working...
I am back!!! Sorry that I haven't posted anything for a while. It had partially to do with the fact that I had problems logging on my account. I'm so glad that I came trough!!!
So this shot is based on the scene where Neo is guided by Tank, an operator on Morpheus's hovership, the Nebuchadnezzar, to the nearest exit out of the Matrix, being a phone in room 303, (yes, the same room where Trinity fought the police earlier)
When Neo finally reaches room 303 and opens the door he is shot point blank by Agent Smith who is already in the room and succumbs to his injuries...
I'm not sure at all where I found the strength to do all these handstands and jumps on top of halfdome. Guess I just wanted a shot to express how I was feeling upon reaching the summit. Who knows when I'll be up there again, if ever.
One of the APU's from my Brickworld Matrix display. I was pleasantly surprised when I was awarded the Best Mecha trophy.
A rather faint dot-matrix display on this one - 32067 pauses at Bromsgrove on its way back from an exceptional outing into Birmingham along the Salt Road 144. With West Midlands Railway on strike every Saturday of 2019 now, it seems First will be utilising their otherwise surplus double deckers on the trunk 44/144 routes on Saturdays till the end of year. Appearances of the Volvo B7TLs and Dennis Tridents were common until the Salt Road B7RLEs arrived, and with strict emissions rules in the form of an LEZ (albeit delayed) due to come into force in the near future, who knows whether any of the elderly deckers will ever work to Birmingham again. It remains to be seen whether the Tridents will appear on the 144 next weekend, or whether it will be the same allocation of 2 Salt Roads, 2 B7TLs & 4 Streetdecks...
Yet another image from the walk in downtown Toronto to introduce my brother-in-law Rick ( www.facebook.com/Rickoshea17 ) to the city. On my previous visits to Toronto, I have tended to wander over to the site of PJ O’Brien’s Irish pub/restaurant at the corner of Leader Lane and Colborne Street. The attraction is neither the food nor the liquid refreshments, but the light and the decoration on the West wall: a large clock advertising Guinness beer. You see, in the morning, the sun bounces off the surrounding glass towers and applies a mottled pattern of light and dark areas on that wall. If you get there in time for this phenomenon, you can set up the framing you see here. Then you wait for people to walk by. Fun times people watching on Leader Lane. - JW

Somewhat wilted, after several hours of less-than-optimal drag performances. I do like this interior.
I didn’t think orthopedic shoes would help, but I stand corrected.
Un peu fané, après plusieurs heures de performances de traînée moins qu'optimales. Le hall de l'hôtel Matrix est toujours assez ornemental.

This shot is based on the scene where Neo as part of his training has to learn several martial techniques in order to fight or defend himself against an Agent.
Via a computer program the knowledge of a certain martial arts technique is directly implanted or downloaded to Neo's brain where he later says to Morpheus: "I know kung-fu"...
Nobody can be told what the matrix is, you have to see it for yourself.

This shot was taken inside the WTC Cosmo Tower, Osaka. At 256 metres it's the tallest structure in western Japan. The above area was the non-touristy part with lifts going up to the various companies that inhabit the building. I'd planned on producing a straight HDR shot, but while post processing discovered I liked the inverted look so went for something in the vein of The Matrix.
The view from the top of this place is jaw dropping. I'll post some shots shortly. If you visit I recommend going at night, you'll be treated to a spectacular 360 degree unhindered panorama. Take a small tripod too as there is a wide rail to lean on all the way around =)
