Dr. Shirley Gray (upper right corner) has been taking her MATH 320 students to look at historic books at the Huntington Library for two decades.
What started out as a simple math exercise with geometric solids (NOT! -- they're hollow, and transparent!) turned into an impromptu exploration of shadow, reflection, refraction, and just plain fun.

Ok! Let’s get one thing clear, maths isn’t easy! Be it finding the hypotenuse or figuring out the value of x, maths tends to ruin many lives.
