A scene only appears in Taiwan. All the vendors gather in one place at night, selling clothes, foods, interesting products. The crowd, the smell and the lights are the feeling of hometown to us.
Believe it or not, the romance happened in night markets is countless.
This magical crowded place is actually a matchmaker to lots of couples. :P
Pyrex was first produced in America in 1915. In 1922, JA Jobling started producing Pyrex under licence in Sunderland, using the Pyrex crown logo, but with "JAJ" in place of "Pyrex". In 1973, JAJ reverted to American Corning ownership, but the factory closed down in 2007.
This design is known as Matchmaker.
The Matchmaker pattern was introduced in 1964 in two colour patterns, the above blue and green, and red and orange. This is part of a dinner set bought in a charity shop. Many of the pieces have never been used, still having the original Pyrex guarantee stickers on them. These stickers have no post code on the address; postcodes were finally in place in the whole country by 1974, their roll out having started in Norwich in 1965.

Pat Sajak was a class act at this Channel 3 TV event. He was kind when he took the picture with me. He made an effort to visit with everybody. Then he went behind the bar and started serving people. Well done, Mr Sajak!

We can’t guarantee you’ll find your “happily ever after” …but we CAN guarantee an interesting time!
This was our attempt at creating an event where like-minded South Florida singles could meet and make friends. The actual attendance for the event FAR exceeded our expectations and many of the fun ideas we had planned just didn't work as well with 4x the amount of people expected! But, all in all many people had fun and actually met new people! Matches were genuinely made... and that really makes it all worthwhile.
This event was free to attend and featured our fancy unicorn matchmakers who were (trying to) make matches with magic, the grumpy old puppet Zoltate, Just a Couple of G’s live podcast, facilitating awkward Q&As and encouraging words+laughs, complimentary refreshments, a $100 raffle for all participants and more.
This event ran concurrent with the “Prints Charming” art opening in our upstairs gallery.
