Owner's screenname: Skada, but you can also call me Jasmine

Taeyang's name: October

Personal message from the bachelor: Up until recently I've been moving around a lot for work, but now that I'm finally settling down, I'm ready to find a girl who wants something more than shots at a bar and a well-timed compliment.

Turn-ons: Having a good time. When I can sit with a girl and really 'be in the moment' with her, just the two of us, that's what I like best.

It also never hurts when a girl knows how to dress for her body, beauty isn't a universal thing, you need to do what's best for you.

Turn-offs: Girls who don't have enough self-confidence to take a compliment. Most of the time the pretty girls are the ones who think they're ugly and that makes me think they won't think the right about me either. I don't want a person who needs to be with me to validate who they are. We should be able to have fun together, and not spend all our time trying to make each other feel better.

Also, bossiness isn't flattering to anyone. There are better ways to express good ideas other than being bossy.

______

So I'm entering October in GSM (Game, Set, Matchmaker! www.flickr.com/groups/1374413@N23/ ). We're going sort of "back in time" with him, before he meets Nekuri - so he doesn't really know he's also into boys (I'm figuring he wouldn't win a lot telling the bachlorettes he likes boys, too, let alone the fact he cheats on Nekuri all the time... so this is just *before* all of that) but also because I'm looking forward to sort of figuring out the personality of "October Before Nekuri". October really is one of my dolls I'm not as certain about his character for...

To get this much of the profile, I actually sat down and did a bunch of background on him. And I rarely actually sit down and write for my dolls despite how formed their characters and story are. I figured since I had it, I'd share it, so, October's background!

October grew up as a military brat, his father was high-ranking in the Army Of The Continent but his mother died when he was only 7. However, October has an older sister, who is older by 8 years, and essentially helped raise him. His sister was a very strong personality, so that coupled with the more rigid military household and not seeing a lot of his father, October had some serious rebellious streaks and isn't really what we'd call "well rounded".

After a very rough time in High School (probably would have been criminal charges if he hadn't been on a Base) he was very confident he didn't want to go into the military, so his father basically disowned him. October found his way into an weapons and engineering college program on a bunch of scholarships (he's very good at math) and after graduation got a job where he was basically an arms dealer (legally) traveling around a lot. His hot-headed-ness didn't help him keep that job, but luckily he picked up a few mechanics tricks and things so now he repairs cars and motorcycles and things like that.

Also, yes this is a repost of an earlier picture but I haven't had the weather or the health to grab a new photo of him for the entry form...

The Matchmaker Bar.

Famous for its music and festivals, in September each year one of Europe's largest matchmaking events is held in the town attracting upwards of 40,000 romantic hopefuls, bachelor farmers and accompanying revellers. The month-long event is an important tourist attraction. The current matchmaker is Willie Daly, a fourth-generation matchmaker.

He reckons Beartrice and Jonah could be a number.

Some matches are made in heaven... but the best ones are made in Lisdoonvarna

My wife's brilliant debut novel is being packaged at Amazon.com with ... Dean Koontz's latest? It must have something to do with her book being reviewed in People magazine this week--Koontz was reviewed in the same issue (I didn't even know People ran book reviews). So did Amazon pair these books because some People readers just buy all the books they review? The ways of Amazon amaze ... but hey, it's a great deal. (Spoiler alert: Dedra's book isn't a romance novel.)

Thank you to the wonderful super eligible client of mine who nominated myself and my matchmaking company SPIES as Best Matchmaker! He's now happily married. Their beautfiul wedding was in Italy. He knew in 30 days she was the one. For privacy reasons, I only share names and photos on the rare and special occasions my clients agree to be interviewed by the news media or they give me permission to use their names. He has told his business owner colleagues about his experience and has referred them all to me. Then, SPIES was voted the favorite matchmaker with 96% of the votes cast. We are blessed to work with the most amazing people who are going to make great boyfriends and girlfriends and incredible husbands and wives and parents. Our clients are the most supportive partners and it's not a surprise they nominate SPIES Best Matchmaker every year! <3

Gnorman is hoping to have a date in time for Valentine's Day. Can anyone help him in his mission of love?

This is Stewart Butterfield of Vancouver. In late 2003, he and co-founder Caterina Fake were having financial problems with their on-line video game business called Game Neverending. They were forced to strip down Game Neverending and what emerged was flickr, a photo-sharing social network web site.

In 2004, they sold flickr to Yahoo for USD $30-million. They admitted that had they not sold at the time and waited till now, flickr would have been worth hundreds of million, if not into the billion mark. Oh well, $30 million is not bad.

Show matches women with millionaires. Both parties must be attractive.

Images of Stacy Kessler’s party celebrating her return to Bravo television’s MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER. The party took place at the One On One in New York’s trendy East Village. In addition to her television work, Ms. Kessler has recently completed filming the feature film MIDNIGHT GIRL, where she appears as a lead actor. She will also be appearing in the much awaited Broadway musical COLD AS ICE, produced by playwright and composer Frank D'Agostino.

I usually display my Matchmaker Magic doll in the fancier sides of these pieces. The sides shown here are plainer, like her everyday dress she sports in the beginning of the film. I do think the design is very clever, and adds extra play value, since you can easily change up her look.

A scene only appears in Taiwan. All the vendors gather in one place at night, selling clothes, foods, interesting products. The crowd, the smell and the lights are the feeling of hometown to us.

Believe it or not, the romance happened in night markets is countless.

This magical crowded place is actually a matchmaker to lots of couples. :P
