I'm guessing that this was a Joe Stauber shot but don't know for sure. This was in the later days of the C&NW in Marshfield- probably the early to mid 1970's. Note the trailer depot on the right. Most would think it was being used as an office in Marshfield but that wasn't the case. The trailer depots were made in Stratford, a few miles north of Marshfield on the CNW. Why they didn't load at the plant is anyone's guess but according to Keith Meacham, North Star Homes trucked them into town to load them on the piggy back ramp in town. The old Marshfield clinic building in the backgorund still stands but everything else in this photo is gone.

The Marshfield Mummers, or Paper Boys, perform a traditional Mummers play every Boxing Day. They get their name from the strips of paper sewn onto their costumes.
Re-telling the story of George and the dragon grew from the early Medieval mimes or dumb plays that were performed without words or music. Characters include King William, Little Man John, Dr Finnix, Tenpenny Nit, Beelzebub and Saucy Jack.
D J & Mrs J M Godwin took over the business of M J Ryan , Marshfield in June 1966 and continued to trade as Bluebird Coach Tours. They had a small fleet of three or four coaches , most of which were bought new. Their last new purchase was A933UFB , a Bova Futura FLD12/250 C53F new in April 1984 , the first Futura in this area. It is seen here in the coach park at Longleat Safari Park in May 1984 when a few weeks old.
In 1987 it was sold to Hoare , Chickerell who also traded as Bluebird Coaches. Godwins ceased trading in June 1992.
In the 1960s and 1970s the coach market for independent operators was dominated by British manufacturers - Bedford , Ford , Leyland and AEC with Duple or Plaxton bodywork. In the early 1980s this began to change and more and more foreign products were imported.
Bova sold quite a few Europa integrals in 1981 /2 /3 , but then they introduced the Futura with a much more striking design. This remained in production with only minor changes for 30 years , and the current VDL Futura 2 still bears a close resemblance.
