Lia hosted a Mario Kart DS party at her place Saturday night. Five nerds (me included) showed up to play. [January 7]
I made this about a month ago, for a boy who turned 6. He wanted Mario and the mushroom circuit. Had to look at videos on youtube to figure that one out!
Thank you to Natasha of neviepiecakes for letting me use her Mario design. The car was a simplified version of a photo the client sent me.
this scene was pretty funny yesterday : a big mario was installed just in front of a video game store ... all kind of people took a picture of their friend or kids with their phones .. this guy took her friend and he noticied that we were two guys withs cameras at the other side of the street , waiting the great moment ..

Rotated to give Mariokart Rainbow Road effect.
As cool as I think a touch screen emblem maker is, I'm really not sure it's always such a good idea.
(The DS lite and Mario Kart DS otherwise rock quite soundly)

Lego recently added a dark azure Yoshi in their latest wave of Mario Kart sets, and I had to update my Yoshi’s House MOC with it!
The coolest video game mod to date, in my opinion, the Afterburner for the original GBA. I was on the afterburner website the minute they opened for business on that thing, and the server was mashed with hits of eager GBA fans wanting the kit asap. It took minutes to progress through each page, but I got it! Willard & I installed it and it has to be one of the most rewarding hack jobs ever. The unit was a million times as useful after this install.
The machine is a Japanese GBA that I bought at about launch time. There was a shop in NYC that snagged import units in the colors that weren't available in the US. Never could register the damn thing, though, because its serial # was not of the same family as the US ones...
Beautiful when it's lit, itn't it?
Target in Joliet decided to decorate it's giant red cement balls with cool Mario and Luigi wraps, here's Luigi.
Work in progress... he's going to be 'mario kart' for halloween this year. Car needs paint, but I think it looks pretty dang good for an altered cardboard box!
:o)
Anyone that played MarioKart knows the correct words, lol. I may be Peachy, but am more of a paper bag princess.
